God has revealed many things to previous generations regarding these days in which we are now living. However, God only gave them glimpses, not the complete picture. The full meaning was hidden from them because the prophecies were not for their generation, but for the generation living at the time of the end. That’s good news because it means great revelation is coming to our generation!
For example, the prophet Daniel was shown many things concerning the end of this age, which he recorded in a book. However, he was told to hide the words and seal up the book because it was for the generation to come at the end of the age (Daniel 12:1-9). So Daniel’s prophecies have remained a mystery for thousands of years, but today they are coming into view as God is revealing them to us.
Daniel was just one of many who received end-time revelations. There were many others recorded by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others. Their prophecies were recorded thousands of years before we were born, yet they were written with us in mind because they were given for our instruction to help us carry out our assignments at this time. So the hidden meaning of their prophecies must be unlocked so they can help us today. God is looking for willing vessels who will receive His revelations and deliver them to His people. Unfortunately, many are unwilling to do that. Many churches today refuse to talk about these things, but God has a remnant who has not bowed their knees to Baal, and they will faithfully do as He instructs (Romans 11:2-4).
Another book of mysteries was written by Enoch, who was born in the seventh generation from Adam. Enoch was given great insights into the events preceding the creation of heaven and earth and events coming at the end of this age when Lord returns with many thousands of His holy ones. His revelations include details about the fall of Lucifer and the angels who fell with him. He saw how the fallen ones were separated from God and shares how they asked him to speak to God in their behalf. Enoch did so, but later delivered bad news to them when the Lord showed them no mercy.
Enoch was also shown many things regarding the offspring of the fallen ones who mated with human women. These were the giants recorded in Genesis 6:4, which is also where Goliath and many others came from. Enoch expanded on those events in great detail (see 1 Enoch 15). His writings were studied and highly regarded in ancient Israel along with the scriptures. Jude quoted from the book of Enoch here:
It was also about these men that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with many thousands of His holy ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” (Jude 1:14-15 NASB)
Jude’s quote came directly from Enoch, chapter two, verse one, which adds great credibility to Enoch’s writings.
The church has ignored Enoch’s writings even more than other end-time prophecies, even though the Bible tells us Enoch walked so closely with God that he never died because God took him to heaven at age 365 and he has been there ever since (Genesis 5:21-23). In those days, 365 years was not considered a long life. At the time Enoch was taken, five of his six forefathers were still living! The only one who had died was Adam, but he lived until Enoch was 308 years old. Given the small population of the earth in those days, it is likely Enoch knew Adam well and learned many things about God from him because he was Enoch’s great-great-great-great-grandfather!
So we have an amazing heritage with many faithful forefathers, but they are no longer here, so the baton has been handed to our generation. We must now complete what they started. The full revelation that God withheld from them will be given to our generation. The mysteries that were sealed up are already starting to be opened for us to see. What a privilege it is to be a part of God’s great end-time plans!
The following testimony bears witness to God’s promise to give great insights to our generation. In 2015, Bruce Allen was allowed to visit with the Lord Jesus at the Temple in the New Jerusalem in heaven where he saw millions of people gathered together to hear a proclamation of such great importance it would affect the course of history. Bruce Allen is founder of Still Waters International Ministries. He shared the following testimony in Neville Johnson’s Our Finest Hour newsletter in March 2017.
On the 13th of September 2015, I had a visitation by the Lord Jesus. In this encounter I found myself standing before Jesus as He was standing on a hilltop overlooking the Temple in the New Jerusalem in heaven. He was revealing Himself as the King of Glory with a multifaceted/jeweled crown upon His head and a red robe. Immediately upon seeing him I fell down as a dead man at His feet. I had no strength left in me. As I prostrated myself at His feet I could do nothing but worship him for who He is and for all that He has so graciously given me over the years; all the successes and failures, all the joys and sorrows, all the revelation and experiences/encounters; I could do nothing, but with joy and reverence place everything at His feet. I knew in that moment that all that I am – all that I have is His.
This continued for some time before I heard the Lord’s voice say to me ‘Arise and look’. He then extended His hand to me and I immediately received strength and was able to stand.
I was then shown vast multitudes – millions before the temple of God in heaven. From the vantage point of this hill overlooking the Temple I was able to witness a very unusual sight. I turned to both the left and right as far as the eye could see there were millions of people gathering, and yet the silence I witnessed was in and of itself awe inspiring! I knew there was about to be a proclamation of great importance that was going to affect the course of history!
As I was pondering what this pronouncement might be, I witnessed an innumerable company of chariots of fire coming from above the Temple out of the midst of what looked like clouds. I instinctively realized they had been released from the presence of the Father.
As this was taking place, I saw a man approaching. He was walking up a golden path to the hilltop where we were standing. In his arms, I noticed he was carrying a large book held tightly against his chest.
Immediately I knew by the spirit this was Enoch. As Enoch approached, I was at once overjoyed and curious as I’ve longed to more fully understand and gaze into the mysteries he has witnessed in his walk with the Lord. I had hundreds of questions I wanted to ask.
As he came near, I was surprised that he was not a very tall man. I had envisioned him as someone that would be quite large and muscular. I greeted him and was surprised when he greeted me by name! I had been told before that all in heaven know and recognize those who belong to the Lord. When we get there, we will recognize everyone we meet even though we have never met before.
Enoch then handed me the book he was holding. He said it was the book of mysteries the Lord had given him while he walked with the Lord for 300 years on this earth. As I grasped the book, I was aware that it was a living thing! It emitted a power that was tangible and quite frankly, rather frightening! I was in awe of this ‘living manuscript’ that I was holding and yet my spirit instantly bore witness that this was right.
Enoch then said something that stunned me! He said, “Take the book and finish it. What I began while I was on the earth must now be completed in this generation.”
I didn’t know what to say! I was shaking and I responded with the first thing that came to mind: I asked him to lay his hand upon me and bless me.
He immediately responded and said, “No! There is no need of an impartation or blessing from me as the Lord Jesus Himself has already blessed you and commissioned you. I will however be in prayer for you.”
As he spoke this, I turned to the Lord and Jesus spoke with great compassion and authority, “Go and do all I’ve commanded you. I have given you insight and you have received My purposes and desire for your life. Now I give you understanding. As you have met Enoch this night and received his book of mysteries, so too you shall receive of his mantel that has been prepared for this day. Move forward in faith and do not hold back, now the hour has come for My Glory to be revealed in you. Trust me to perform all that I said I would do, for it shall surely come to pass now.”
I believe the promise given to Bruce Allen was not just for him individually, but applies to our generation, which he confirmed with this statement:
“This visitation was not about me! This is a promise to all in this generation that will surrender themselves to the purposes of God and the Book of Destiny for their life. This is for you!”
He saw “an innumerable company of chariots of fire coming from above the Temple out of the midst of what looked like clouds.” I believe those chariots of fire were delivering the revelations we must have to understand the mysteries. He “realized they had been released from the presence of the Father,” which is where all revelation originates (Matthew 16:17). Their number was innumerable, which proves this assignment cannot be fulfilled by one person, so this revelation was not just for Bruce Allen. Innumerable revelations are coming to many righteous ones all over the earth, way too many for one person! Together, we are going to finish the book of mysteries started by Enoch.
Notice Enoch said the book of mysteries “must now be completed in this generation.” By saying that, he confirmed we are the final generation. We are the ones who must finish the book!
It took Enoch 365 years to acquire his revelations, but obviously we don’t have that long, so a great acceleration must be coming soon when many great insights will be given rapidly to many people. Get ready for a rapid acceleration in heavenly dreams, visions, and visits to the heavenly realm! It is like we’ve been riding a raft down a lazy river, but the water is now accelerating and white water rapids are just ahead. No wonder we are now hearing many prophetic words of acceleration. Enoch and Elijah never died a natural death on earth and because it is appointed for man once to die Finis Dake believes it is likely Enoch and Elijah are the two witnesses of Revelation who die for the first time during the tribulation.
You know, I just came to this same conclusion last night and began to seek the Lord since Moses died but is often listed as one of the witnesses. Enoch and Elijah are the only 2 natural men listed in the Bible that did not die, but perhaps were reserved, as it were, to fulfill their final destinies at the end of time. Notice there are not 3 or 4 or 5 — just two.
This is incredible! I was just telling my friend last night, that I truly believe that we are the last generation of all times! I was saying to him, that we are the ones who will carry out God’s end-time plan! I can feel this in my spirit, and I believe this article was a confirmation of that. I really love Enoch. He is one of my heroes in the bible. I think it’s because he was there, and then he wasn’t there. Because God took him. About seven years ago I got a “severe macaw”. That is a breed within the macaw family. He is green with a white face and he has red under his wings and his tail is red underneath and green and blue on top. You can find images of what he looks like on the internet. I named him Enoch. Every night when I am putting him to sleep he says to me over and over ” I love you” !!! and he also says ” give me a kiss” about hundred times. Then he goes to sleep. He is so funny. Thank you for the Enoch article. I really like Enoch.

I really like and appreciate Bruce Allen, but I am concerned with this particular word. There is no Temple in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:22) so this gives me some pause.
Finis Jennings Dake says there will be a temple built that the A/C will sit upon and another temple that Christ will sit upon during the millennium. I have always thought these temples were modeled after the temple of God that is currently in the New Jerusalem in Heaven and will come down to earth after a renewed Heaven and Earth and the white throne judgment.
The city of God in heaven is called the New Jerusalem and has a temple until the city is on earth. “Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple…” Revelation 11:19 NKJV.
That’s a great point Grace and a great question to ask Bruce Allen. Maybe when the city moves from heaven to earth, the temple remains in heaven?
I believe the Father and the Son are the temple.
There are a lot of great insights to the book of Enoch (1 Enoch). However, a problem that I encountered was 1 Enoch 7:12, which says that the giants had a stature of “three hundred cubits.” According to the discoveries of Ron Wyatt, the cubit used for the building of the ark of Noah was the ancient Egyptian royal cubit of 20.6 inches. The length of the ark from the Durupinar site, consisting of 300 cubits, is exactly 515 feet. So the height of these giants were 515 feet!!?? Something is wrong here. I wonder if it is a Greek translational error.

James, Thank you for this post and for your work for the Lord. God has been impressing upon my heart as well he is going to be giving greater insight and revelation into his Word especially the prophecies that deal with where we find ourselves in history. These things were hidden in his Word for those on whom the end of the age would come. God is so faithful.

Fascinating, awesome word. An acceleration for sure. I’ll suggest we finish the book by co-operating with the Lion-Lamb who takes and breaks the mysteries of the seven-sealed book of Destiny. Our destiny is tied up with His. Only he can break open the mystery of our destiny.
