Spiritual Preppers Will Plan Ahead to Learn the Ways of the Lord

Yesterday morning, I received a confirmation that the Lord is giving me revelation and visions for the new book I am writing, “A Prepper’s Guide to the Last Days.” I am not writing about gathering food, building hidden dwellings or preparing defensive tools as many others have already written these things. I am writing about the spiritual preparations we need to make to be ready for what is coming in what the Bible calls “the last days.”

Actually, the Lord began to answer my prayer the day before I lifted it up to Him. The Lord’s help began with the visions and revelations which came to me yesterday.

Yesterday morning, I was also aware that I needed to get into better physical condition. At the beginning of my worship time, I did some exercises as I sang some of my usual praise and worship songs. Then I put on my large Tallit and Kepah as I got on my knees to pray. I began by praying for Shalom in Jerusalem and all of Israel. Then I prayed the James 4:7 prayer. Finally, I went face down and prayed in the Spirit for several minutes. I confessed that I needed help writing the new book, and asked for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, counsel and might, understanding and the fear of the Lord to come to me and release what I needed to know and understand. (see Isaiah 11:2) As I wrote the things the Lord revealed to me, I looked up this passage from Isaiah and was led to the next three verses:

3 His delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide by what his ears hear;
4 but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt around his waist, and faithfulness the belt around his loins. (Isaiah 11:3-5)

Suddenly, I had another open vision in which I was shown an ancient machine using belts and pulleys to do some kind of heavy work. I was fascinated by the machine and thought about the high level of technology given to the people who built it. Then the Holy Spirit revealed the message to go with this vision. A time is coming when all our technology and tools based on the use of electricity and fossil fuels will come to an end. In that day, we will need to go back to or re-invent the kinds of machine I was seeing this morning. Our dependency on the power grid to run all our devices will soon prove to be useless. Now is the season to learn as much as we can about the ways our ancestors accomplished tasks and provided food for themselves and their families.

As I pondered these things, I was given another vision. I saw a desolated area where many tools were rusted beyond restoration. I was reminded of Daniel 9:26,

“And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.”

In the vision, it appeared that a great fire had swept through the area and melted many tools together so they were no longer usable. I saw piles of computers and smart phones which no longer worked. They were in fairly good condition, but could not be used because there was no power and there was no Internet for connections. All these things will be useless and unavailable for those who live through these times of tribulation.

I wondered if these things were all about the natural world or if they also had a meaning in the spiritual realm. The Lord told me the visions and revelations were for both. We will need to cast off many things which have been useful and convenient in our belief systems. Many of the things held dear by the church and many believers today are based on the doctrines of man rather than on the Word of God. None of these things will be of any use in the season to come as the end draws near.

Spiritual preppers will plan ahead to learn the ways of the Lord and be focused to follow Him closely during this season. This is the only way to survive and thrive during the perilous times to come. I was reminded of what Paul told his spiritual son, Timothy, about these times to come.

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,
7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

Are you a spiritual prepper? Are you getting ready for the times of desolation to come? Have you cast off the doctrines of man so that you can focus on the Word of God? Are you feeling what I am feeling – that we are drawing perilously close to these days? I encourage you to prepare now for the things to come. Be spiritually ready to serve the Lord faithfully and in divine health during these last days. Be ready in spirit, soul and body.

I pray the Lord will reveal to you all you need to know about the times to come and how He is calling you to serve in this generation. I pray these things in the mighty name of Yeshua ha Messiach! Amen and Amen!

James, YES and YES again. SPIRITUAL PREPARATION is most urgently needed. And YES ABSOLUTELY to the central and core tenets of Scripture. A case in point, if I may. When speaking of the entry of sin into the world, I was taught from my earliest years, as were many others, that Adam and Eve sinned when they disobeyed the LORD. That teaching is actually radically flawed and Scripture backs that up. Adam and Eve FIRST believed the LIE of the creature (that is, a created being) rather than the TRUTH of the LORD. As a consequence of believing the creature’s lie, they acted in accord with the lie, and thereby earned the consequence of sin – death for themselves and all those who proceeded from them. They also lost, if you will, the title deed to custodianship of the earth and as a result, the earth became the “kingdom” of the perpetrator of lies and deception. We ALL know what is written in Romans 1:25 (NASB) For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. In actuality, I’ve NEVER heard a message that links the prime act of disobedience to believing a lie, so the Spirit of Truth Himself made this association for me. Jesus sent to us the Spirit of Truth. What other Spirit would He send in a world or kingdom based upon LIES and DECEPTION? It is LIES and a system of deceptions that are the basis for all that is swirling about us. If believers do NOT acknowledge that reality, they will decidedly become victims to the pernicious deceptions of the one who is a liar, and the father of all lies. Without this TRUTH as the basis for our… Read more »

Thank you Brother Durham for hitting the nail on the head. I can testify that you speak the truth and that the Lord has revealed these things to you because this is what the Lord has been telling and showing me for the last 18 years.
There is so much that people do not understand about the last days that are now upon us. I tried to explain these truths to my family and friends, but I kept getting push back and ridicule from them. I just felt like I was casting my pearls before swine.
I am grateful that the Lord has blessed me with the foreknowledge that you have expressed here. It has given me the strength and peace to accept what is coming and not to fret about circumstances beyond my control. The Lord has shown me that the events happening in our day now were known to Him before man was placed upon the earth and that God knows the precise day and hour when all these things shall come to pass.

Quick question to everyone –

2 Tim 3:5b Avoid such men as these – does this justify the choice of those monks in middle age monastery? Does it apply only to Pastors (i.e. Timothy) or to all Christians? Should it be our general attitude towards an unrepentant public (i.e. unless armed by HIS specific Direction, don’t you ever approach any LGBT people)? Is it against the Great Commission? I need a new job! Because I am surrounded by such people (those who celebrate St. Patty Day, Easter, etc. and others who observe OT festivals…but deny God in words & deeds…).

Another good verse from Paul, “But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard (who doesn’t drink to get high nowadays in big cities?) or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.” 1 Corinthians 5:11. But how do you know for sure (besides those brazen ones) without tapping into grapevine (i.e. gossiping yourself)? Each Christian must have discernment/the knowing to avoid the wrong crowd in the coming days.

I lead a men’s group with just me and a couple of other guys. We have been meeting for the last 4-5 years. During this last year, one of the men had gotten a divorce after trying everything he could to keep the marriage together. He then started dating and became intimate with the lady. God sent me the same 1 Cor 5:11 you quoted above. I met with him, listened to his point of view, and showed him numerous scriptures showing what he was doing was outside the will of God. He was recently engaged and did not see a reason to change his behavior. I then told him our group had to stop meeting until they got married . . . which is what we did. Our group did not meet for about 5 months. We have since started meeting again.

In all these things, just ask God to show you what He wants you to do, and He will show you. If you are unsure, just ask Him to confirm it, and He will. Do NOT change your job, or make any significant life changes, without His clear direction to do so, even if you believe you are doing it for Him. He desires obedience more than sacrifice.

1 Sam 15:22 But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.
