Yesterday’s bombing of the Al-Ali Baptist Hospital in Gaza may have been the event that has taken peace from the earth.  This event has enraged the Muslim communities in both muslim and non-Muslim communities.  However, Islam militants have a history of launching rockets and storing munitions in hospitals, mosques, and schools. Israel blamed an Islamic militant rocket for the attack but multiple groups & nations are denouncing Israel & its largest supporter, the United States, for this attack.  President Biden has stated that the initial U.S. intel is showing that Israel was not responsible for the blast. Israel has stated that drone footage and a wiretapped phone call between two Hamas terrorists are said to “prove” the deadly Gaza hospital explosion was caused by a misfired Islamic Jihad rocket. (Source)  This event has triggered the Israeli Embassies being stormed and/or set on fire in Istanbul (Turkey), Ankara (Turkey), Beirut (Lebanon) and Ammam (Jordan). The U.S. Embassy in Lebanon has been attacked and there are confrontations with Muslims and U.S. soldiers at the Kurecik Radar Base in Malayta (Turkey).  The French Embassy in Beirut (Lebanon), the British Embassy in Tehran (Iran), the United Nations building in Beirut (Lebanon), the U.S. consulate in Adana (Turkey) have all been attacked by protesters. “In Tunis, protesters burned Israeli and American flags and demanded the expulsion of the U.S. and French ambassadors for what they termed their unconditional support for Israel.”. Although the conflict appears regional in nature currently, there are statements being made by multiple nations including Russia, China, France, Germany, Belarus, Canada, U.S., etc. that hint this conflict could go global in the near future.  Multiple visits are occurring between nations with various Presidents and foreign ambassadors. The Quartet Summit in Amman scheduled to be held with President Biden has been canceled due to Israel’s bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza per the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.  For all intents & purposes, this appears to be the conflict that will lead the world into World War 3.  Netanyahu is attempting to increase the scope of this conflict through statements including, “This is not only Israel’s battle, but rather the battle of civilization against brutality.”.  Other leaders are broadening the scope of the conflict as well given U.S. involvement.

There is significant disinformation and “news stories” shared that may or may not be factual.  A few questions we need to continuously ask ourselves are: 1) who benefits from what occurred? 2) what is gained?  There is no way to know who truly blew up the hospital but it galvanized global support against Israel.  Even if proof is provided that Israel was not involved, there will likely still be millions of Muslims who believe Israel was responsible for the bombing and all the deaths.  What people believe frequently becomes that person’s truth.  Regardless we need to pray for all the innocent people that have died and will die in this war and we need to pray for wisdom and discernment for the leaders around the world and pray over our families for their safety.

If an oil embargo is put in place by Qatar, gas prices will skyrocket along with the price of goods as transportation costs increase.  If you have not made an effort to store up food, water and other supplies, there is no time like the present.  Between the dollar losing purchasing power due to inflation and likely higher transportation costs and thus higher prices for goods, expect to see buying power decrease significantly in the U.S. and in other countries with local currencies linked to the U.S. dollar.

When will World War III officially start?
