Several years ago, I had a dream in which I was told that if I wanted to understand the timing, I needed to look at the date the message went out. The meaning of the dream was not clear at first. It did not indicate which message. Today, the interpretation of the dream has become apparent. The dream was paraphrasing Daniel 9:25, “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench but in times of trouble.” The seven weeks and 62 “weeks” are separate countdowns. The dream was pointing to the message that begins the 7 “week” countdown. That message was the Jerusalem Law passed by the Knesset in Israel on July 30th, 1980. The message declared Jerusalem as the complete and united capital of Israel. The law declared, “Jerusalem is the seat of the President, the Knesset, the government, and the Supreme Court.” It provided special funds for the development and prosperity of Jerusalem. This “message to restore Jerusalem” starts a 7 “week” or 7 Shemitah cycle countdown lasting 49 years and ends at the season of Christ’s 2nd coming. To be very clear, even with having an indication of the season, it is still not possible to know the day or the hour. If accurate, the indication is that the 7-year Tribulation would begin at Rosh Hashanah this year on September 26/27. The following study outlines the reasons for that timeline.
2022-2029: A Jubilee Perspective on End Times
Accounting for the 50th year that is the Jubilee offers some new perspectives on the End Times.
In this study, a Jubilee Year Count will be referenced which is a year count starting at Creation and has a Jubilee every 50 years up to the year 6000. Using a Jubilee Year Count and comparing it to the modern Hebrew Calendar allows a determination of when the Jubilee is possible. The number of Jubilees since creation can be determined as well. The modern Hebrew calendar is missing years, so the year count is inaccurate. The modern Hebrew calendar does not account for the 50th year which is an extra year outside of the 7-year Shemitah cycles. Because of this, the Shemitah on the Jubilee year count will be in phase with the Shemitah on the modern Hebrew calendar for 49 years and out of phase for 294 years. Market crashes and other events can be used to determine if we are currently in phase or not. Once it is determined that the calendars are in phase, subtracting the Hebrew calendar year from the Jubilee year candidates shows which Jubilee is in phase and which is not. Using these methods, it can be determined that 2029 will be the 120th Jubilee. In the fall of 2029, the “real” Hebrew calendar year will be 6000. This will mark the beginning of the 7th millennium.
Confirmation that 2022-2029 is the 7-year tribulation comes from the day counts of Daniel and Revelation. 7-year periods on the Hebrew calendar vary due to some years having 12 months and some having 13 months. The 2022-2029 period allows for those day counts to align with dates from Scripture that are “shadows of things to come.”
The Jubilee perspective unlocks a new understanding of the weeks in Daniel 9. The 70 weeks are Jubilee cycles that begin at the Exodus. The Exodus was the 50th Jubilee from creation and was a Jubilee of Jubilees. The 70 weeks are continuous with no gap and end at the trumpet blast on Yom Kippur in 2029. This trumpet would be the declaration of the 120th Jubilee. The generation of Matthew 24:34 ends at the same moment. Preterists and Futurists disagree largely due to how this verse is interpreted. Preterists believe that prophetic events were fulfilled by 70 AD because Christ was speaking to the people of His day. Futurists believe there are prophecies yet to be fulfilled. A Jubilee perspective may help reconcile this disagreement. The generation in Matthew 24:34 is a “generation” (40) of Jubilee cycles. It began when Christ read from the scroll of Isaiah in Luke 4 and declared a Jubilee in 29 AD. The “generation” of Jubilees is 2000 years long and matches the Essene calendar definition of an age. This points to the fulfillment of Matthew 28:20 when Christ said, “and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The generation at the Exodus appears to be a template for the generation of Matthew 24:34. During the Exodus, there was a 38-year period during which the generation of fighting men passed away. Within the 2000 years from 29 AD until 2029, there was a 38 Jubilee cycle period of time during which Israel did not control the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
The most common interpretation of the 7 weeks and 62 weeks from Daniel 9 states that the weeks are Shemitah cycles. It adds them together and does not account for the 50th year. The resulting 69 weeks or 483 years must be multiplied by a fraction to convert to prophetic years. The resulting year count starts at Artaxerxes’ decree to rebuild Jerusalem in 444 BC and ends at the time of the Crucifixion. Jewish scholars have objected to simply adding the 7 weeks and 62 weeks together.
Accounting for the 50th year gives a different interpretation in which the 7 weeks and 62 weeks are not added together. The 62 weeks started with the decree of Artaxerxes to rebuild Jerusalem in 444 BC. During the 62 weeks, there would be 8 Jubilee years. These must be included in the count, so the calculation is 62 times 7 plus 8. The resulting year count would be 442 years. The 62 weeks would end in Nisan of 2 BC. This would be at the birth of Christ. Daniel specifies that the 62 weeks end with the appearance of an anointed one. Christ’s birth would qualify. Daniel also specifies that He would be “cut off” after the 62 weeks. “Kares” is the Hebrew word used. It is used to indicate being cut off from the Nation of Israel or from His people. Jesus’ exile to Egypt to escape Herod would qualify as fulfillment.
The 7 weeks would be a different countdown. Isaac Newton studied bible prophecy extensively and wrote about his work. He contended that the 7 weeks indicated there would be a future decree to rebuild or restore Jerusalem and this would mark a 49-year countdown until Christ’s return. That decree was the Jerusalem Law passed by the Knesset on July 30th, 1980. It declared Jerusalem the complete and united capital of Israel and provided funds for the restoration of it as the political, economic, and cultural center of Israel. The timeline results in a “nested 7s” pattern similar to the seals, trumpets, and bowls from Revelation. The last Jubilee cycle of the 70 weeks (Jubilees) is made up of the 7 weeks (Shemitah) and the final Shemitah cycle of the 7 weeks is the 7-year Tribulation. The ending of the 7 weeks occurs in 2029 and are special days on the Hebrew calendar that are symbolic of Christ’s return. These two days are Tu B’av and Shabbat Nachamu.
Tu B’av is the 15th of Av. There is lots of symbolism connected to this day. The ban on marriage to the Tribe of Benjamin was lifted. Tribes were allowed to intermarry. Young unmarried women would wear borrowed white robes and go out into the countryside. Young men would go out a look for a bride. Tu B’av marks the beginning of the grape harvest. The roadblocks to pilgrims entering Jerusalem ended. The feast of Xylophory is connected to this day. On this day, a large supply of wood was brought into the Temple. Wood was not allowed to be harvested after this day as daylight hours were getting shorter and there was concern that the wood could not dry sufficiently. After the wood was brought in, the hatchets used for harvesting firewood would be broken. There is a connection to the 5th seal of Revelation. The martyrs are under the altar. This is where the wood is for burning the sacrifice at the Temple. Trees in the bible can represent people. The wood represents the faithful that have been martyred for their faith. The martyrs ask how long until they will be avenged. Christ responds they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. The full number of martyrs may be connected to bringing in the full amount of wood into the Temple. At that point, the hatchets are broken. The breaking of the hatchets may symbolize Christ returning and breaking Antichrist’s power to martyr the Saints.
A final point about Tu B’av in 2029. In that year, the reading schedule for the Psalms in Orthodox Judaism will result in Psalm 118:26 being recited on that day. Psalm 118:26 states, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord, we bless you.” This may be the fulfillment of Matthew 23:39 which states, “ For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’
Shabbat Nachamu follows Tu B’av. It is called the Sabbath of Consolation. It gets its name from the Haftarah reading from Isaiah which calls for the consoling of Israel by Messiah. The Haftarah readings from this date until Rosh Hashanah get more and more positive. They speak of Messiah coming and fighting for His people. The celebration of Shabbat Nachamu starts the day before the Shabbat and continues into the day after the Shabbat. It, therefore, is not possible to know the day or the hour even if a particular season is known.
The day counts from Daniel and Revelation line up during this 7-year period. With the variation in the length of years on the modern Hebrew Calendar, different 7-year periods have different lengths. Approximately 10% of all 7-year periods have the necessary alignment. The description of the day counts is difficult without timelines to visualize. They can be found in the video linked below. There are some interesting dates to mention, however. The 1260 days of the woman in the wilderness from Revelation begins on the day that the Israelites were first in the wilderness. Words that Haggai received from the Lord concerning the Temple mark the beginning and end of the 2300 days. The 2300 days for the cleansing of the Temple begins on the day that Haggai received the word from the Lord to rebuild the Temple. This start date also coincides with the new year for tithes or animal sacrifices. It would be a good possible candidate for restarting the sacrificial system at the tribulation temple in Jerusalem. The end of the 2300 days is marked by Haggai conveying the word of the Lord which commands the Israelites to carefully consider the date that the foundation of the 2nd Temple was completed. That date is exactly 3 days before the 2300 days runs out. If it were to take 3 days for a millennial Temple to be rebuilt, the timeline would line up exactly.
A final consideration is the alignment of the Essene calendar and Hebrew calendar in 2029. September 19th, 2029 is Rosh Hashanah on the Essene calendar. September 19th, 2029 is Yom Kippur on the Hebrew Calendar. A trumpet blast on that day could be fulfilling both of those fall feasts.
