And I was marri<\/span>ed um, back in 2003 to my best friend, my husband of 10 yea<span class=\"topic_7400c292-a125-4667-b8c5-04906149fc7f\">rs and um,<\/span>\u00a0on August 6, 2003 I got a call that forever changed my life. My dad called to tell me that my husband was found<span class=\"topic_7400c292-a125-4667-b8c5-04906149fc7f\">\u00a0hanging f<\/span>rom the rafter of our garage dead at age 37 and Woody wasn&#8217;t Depressed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">02:02<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\"><span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">Woody<\/span>\u00a0had no history of depression or any other mental illness.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">Woody<\/span>\u00a0had just started his dream job with a startup company and\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">was having trouble sleeping and\u00a0<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">Woody<\/span>\u00a0was a guy who<\/span>\u00a0needed eight hours of sleep and you know he wasn&#8217;t getting eight hours of sleep. So he as a lot of peop<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">le did<\/span>, um and do. He went to his\u00a0<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">doctor bec<\/span>ause he was having trouble sleeping and wood he was. I always called him like the Humpty. You know the\u00a0<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">doctors put<\/span>\u00a0him back together. He was an athlete and so he did. You know he just did what he would have done which is like hey Dc I&#8217;m not sl<span class=\"reader-highlight\">eeping and the doct<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">or gave hi<\/span>m a three-week sample pack of an anti-depressant Zoloft and told him it would take the edge off and help him sleep and I happe<\/span>n<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ed to be out of the country during those first three weeks that he was put on the drug<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">. We bot<\/span>h<\/span>\u00a0traveled for our careers and I was down in New Zealand on an advertising production so I wasn&#8217;t there when Woody first\u00a0<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">got p<\/span>ut on these drugs\u00a0<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">and the dos<\/span>age changed but I will n<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ever forget when I came back to um back home and I was excited to see him and and I&#8217;ll forget he walked through our back door he was in a blue dress shirt like completely drenched through it fell on the floor and with his hands around his head and he&#8217;s like Kim you got\u00a0<\/span>to help\u00a0<span class=\"topic_eba44d2b-6a64-4653-96f2-119c1989311c\">me\u00a0<\/span>I don&#8217;t know what&#8217;s happening to me it&#8217;s like my head&#8217;s outside\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">my body\u00a0<\/span>looking in he&#8217;s rocking back and forth balling and I had never seen this before and I remember we calmed him down and we like let&#8217;s pray let&#8217;s breathe let&#8217;s you know you know whatever this thing was and he called his doctor somebody who he&#8217;s seen for years and the\u00a0<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">doctor sai<\/span>d<span class=\"topic_56beac7c-6758-40b1-a799-b45fb7456fca\">\u00a0you got<\/span>\u00a0to give it four to six weeks to kick<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">\u00a0in an<\/span>d so so to stay to stay on it to stay on these drugs not to not to get off of them but to stay on<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">\u00a0it yeah so<\/span>\u00a0I don&#8217;t think and it&#8217;s kind of one of the things that you know we&#8217;ll get into\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">it but i<\/span>t&#8217;s one of the things that a lot of times when people are having ad<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">verse of<\/span>fense um events or Effects by these drugs do<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">ctors\u00a0<\/span>don&#8217;t recognize it being a side effect of the drug a<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">nd this was<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">a side\u00a0<\/span>effect of the drug clearly but<span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\">\u00a0Woody was to<\/span>ld to st<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">ay o<\/span>n it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">04:17<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\"><span class=\"reader-highlight\">So every night the next week of his life\u00a0<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">Woody<\/span>\u00a0came home and he&#8217;d b<\/span>e like what do you think about hypnosis? what do you think about acupuncture? Ever<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ything was to beat this feeling out of his head and so on August 6 I will never forget I was. It\u00a0<\/span>was my busy time of my season and I was out of town. I hadn&#8217;t heard from him so I&#8217;m like hey Dad do me a favor go check and see if you know Woody&#8217;s um all right I&#8217;m thinking he maybe hit his head like he was having trouble sleeping. Never in a million million million years would have I expected to get the call that I did that my husband was hangi<span class=\"topic_7400c292-a125-4667-b8c5-04906149fc7f\">ng because<\/span>\u00a0Wood love life and that night I&#8217;ll never forget. You know I&#8217;m in Detroit trying to figure out how to get back home and the corner. got on the phone and asked m<span class=\"reader-highlight\">e um one question she goes was he tak<span class=\"topic_fdf2ded6-0d4e-433c-9f7b-a853c223665c\">ing any\u00a0<\/span>medication and the only medi<span class=\"topic_d1d73a71-33d9-4c02-be11-f0d867cc1b40\">cation Woo<\/span>dy was on was\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d1d73a71-33d9-4c02-be11-f0d867cc1b40\">Zola and s<\/span>h<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">e sai<\/span>d we might have\u00a0<\/span>to take it with we&#8217;re G to take it with us.\u00a0<span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">It might ha<\/span>ve something to do with his death and so that was clue number one. And clue number two was the front page of our newspaper had an article that said the Uk finds link between anti-depressant and suicide in teens and so those we<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">re real<\/span>ly like wouldn&#8217;t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">05:40<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\">I you know, like I said, we both traveled all the time and we left notes for each other and I&#8217;m like literally would you went on your biggest trip of your life and you didn&#8217;t leave a note but those were his notes I really believe you know that meaning you know the ques<span class=\"topic_fdf2ded6-0d4e-433c-9f7b-a853c223665c\">tion that th<\/span>e coroner asked and the front page of the paper that night and then intuitively in every part of my body I knew there&#8217;s no way Woody would\u00a0<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">take\u00a0<\/span>his own life. So really my brother-in-law Googled um that night Googled Zolof and suicide and\u00a0<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">literal<\/span>ly did um We had no idea that in 1991 the Fda<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0held hea<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">rin<\/span>gs on\u00a0<span class=\"topic_fb6077cc-6d60-4d63-84d0-8f91d367be93\">the Um l<\/span>ink between violence and suicide and\u00a0<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">Prozac\u00a0<\/span>and at that<\/span>\u00a0time all of the committee me<span class=\"topic_b2b4ea90-0b22-475a-b9da-dc836868ba9c\">mbers vot<\/span>ed. They said no<span class=\"reader-highlight\">pe, we don&#8217;t s<\/span>ee any Um the<span class=\"reader-highlight\">re&#8217;s no link. Fast forward the Fd<\/span>a tells Eli Lily t<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">o s<\/span>tudy suicidality. They never did. The\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">Fda never followed u<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">p.\u00a0<\/span>Meanwhile, we now g<\/span>et Um Zolof on the market. We have Paxel on the market, It gets approved for kids and that is really the scenario of what was going on in 2003 when my husband died tragically.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">07:01<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\">I&#8217;m so<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0sorry. Unb<\/span>elievable and Incredibly tragic and and\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">I think you would maybe argue. Tot<\/span>ally preventable. 100%<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0preventable. You<\/span>\u00a0know I even look back and you know why did he get an anti-depressant like he didn&#8217;t even know it was an anti-depressant You know he just did. With what a lot of people d<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">o whic<\/span>h is trust their do<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">ctors right?\u00a0<\/span>Trust that their doctor i<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">s givi<\/span>ng them a medicati<span class=\"topic_d1d73a71-33d9-4c02-be11-f0d867cc1b40\">on that&#8217;s\u00a0<\/span>supposed to help him, certainly not hurt him. And then I think you know. The other th<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ing I learned is you know the doctors\u00a0<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">believe and<\/span>\u00a0trust that the Fda has done<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">\u00a0th<\/span>eir job right. So the whole system is built in um built on this. You know th<\/span>is premise of trust and faith and you know the the White Coat and you know doctors know<span class=\"topic_22e2c04e-fa50-416a-a89f-d6224ed50a43\">\u00a0better<\/span>\u00a0than you. And so there&#8217;s So many things that went wrong and really that became kind of our mission that to go get warnings, put on<span class=\"topic_7c431a2f-3805-40d7-a567-24f554746ff2\">\u00a0these M<\/span>ed Um on these drugs and\u00a0<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">get blackbo<\/span>x warning<span class=\"topic_fea5e2f0-7d99-46b6-8623-d4872b7a6b63\">s. Becau<\/span>s<span class=\"topic_7c431a2f-3805-40d7-a567-24f554746ff2\">e at thi<\/span>s time there were no Fda blackbox sui<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">cid<\/span>e<span class=\"topic_fea5e2f0-7d99-46b6-8623-d4872b7a6b63\">\u00a0warning<\/span>s<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">\u00a0on the<\/span>s<span class=\"topic_7c431a2f-3805-40d7-a567-24f554746ff2\">e medica<\/span>tions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">08:11<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\">So it became as I like to call it,\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">our battle for\u00a0<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">Woody<\/span>\u00a0and so it involved.<\/span>\u00a0I mean I had you know, I got on a plane and I kept going back and forth to Washington, Dc.\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">We worked with\u00a0<span class=\"topic_16cc1fb1-be68-477b-932d-f844c1667ed7\">Congress<\/span><\/span>, met with\u00a0<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">Fda<\/span>\u00a0officials, Uh,\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">we had a big I had a big wrongful death\u00a0<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">lawsuit<\/span>\u00a0against Fizer and also used the media.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">You know the media<\/span>\u00a0W you know\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">Woody<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"topic_c3008254-3b05-4ff5-82de-eab593bb3dea\">story<\/span>\u00a0was told<\/span>\u00a0because it was opposite and at this point we also connected with a lot of\u00a0<span class=\"topic_26b6d5f2-23dd-432b-9c66-a653d1312144\">families<\/span>. There were so\u00a0<span class=\"topic_26b6d5f2-23dd-432b-9c66-a653d1312144\">many families<\/span>\u00a0and parents of kids that were given\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d1d73a71-33d9-4c02-be11-f0d867cc1b40\">these medications<\/span>\u00a0to like for test anxiety they broke up with their boyfriends they&#8217;re having you know trouble adjusting to new moves and so you start putting that all together and it told a very<span class=\"topic_c3008254-3b05-4ff5-82de-eab593bb3dea\">\u00a0diff<\/span><span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_c3008254-3b05-4ff5-82de-eab593bb3dea\">erent story tha<\/span>n what was being told to\u00a0<\/span>the publ<span class=\"topic_26876bca-b729-48a5-8e6e-5d89889ef71d\">ic. An<\/span>d you know looking at all of the the environment in which we live in to the advertising environment right and everybody is like Prozac It&#8217;s<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">\u00a0the hap<\/span>py pill and you know. So you go back and you look at all of what was happening out there and the narrative that was being told at that time. But once you<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0start really digging in and you know um I think one of the biggest things was meeting the fami<span class=\"topic_26b6d5f2-23dd-432b-9c66-a653d1312144\">lies hearing<\/span>\u00a0seeing what the Fda was\u00a0<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">doi<\/span>ng but literally having that la<\/span>wsuit\u00a0<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">against<\/span>\u00a0Viser where um my lawyers you know. We\u00a0<\/span>it&#8217;s<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">\u00a0incred<\/span><span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">i<\/span>bly sad we&#8217;ve seeing i<\/span>t with Covid of course we&#8217;re seeing<span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">\u00a0it wit<\/span><span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">h\u00a0<\/span>Covid medications and\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d1d73a71-33d9-4c02-be11-f0d867cc1b40\">vaccines qu<\/span>ote unquote vaccines that we&#8217;re really onl<span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">y gett<\/span><\/span><span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">ing<\/span>\u00a0answers thanks to lawsuits We&#8217;re only\u00a0<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">getting\u00a0<\/span>a<span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">nswers\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">th<\/span>anks to litigation and I used to<span class=\"topic_7dacdd23-525f-4d64-af55-7fa6aff39013\">\u00a0be of the<\/span><\/span>\u00a0opinion you years ago. Oh America is the most sue happy country in the world You know Now I&#8217;m Okay with it. to be honest with you. I&#8217;m okay with it because we get an<span class=\"reader-highlight\">swers. We get answers through litigati<\/span>on through Discovery pro<span class=\"topic_7dacdd23-525f-4d64-af55-7fa6aff39013\">cess. Seei<\/span>ng these documents that these these<span class=\"topic_65e31420-160d-4881-91b7-488e8188fab2\">\u00a0companies are\u00a0<\/span>been kept under seal for so long and wouldn&#8217;t share with us. Uh so can you talk about this sort of spiderweb that you started to uncover and unravel thanks to these lawsuits? Sure. Well first of\u00a0<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">all I kind of\u00a0<\/span>had that<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0same attitude that you did about lawsuits. They&#8217;re frivolous. You kno<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">w that w<\/span>a<\/span>s kind of what we were being told, right? They&#8217;re frivolous like I&#8217;ll never forget. Like that woman who sued I think it was Mcdonald&#8217;s for putting the coffee cup right and Spilled and I&#8217;m like she she got burned with the coffee. Yeah yeah and I remember going oh she&#8217;s an idiot like why would you put that? Well What I subsequently learned actually that lawsuit was p<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ivotal in changing the temperature in which cof<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">fee at\u00a0<\/span>fast food restaurants is sold. So yeah in fact I it&#8217;s crazy it&#8217;s crazy You bring up this stor<\/span>y. Can I just a\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">little p<\/span>oint of<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">\u00a0privile<\/span>ge here<span class=\"reader-highlight\">. And you know during thi<\/span>s time a lot of people don&#8217;t realize tha<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">t Fize<\/span>r had given a guy who got appointed Chief counsel at the Fda, Dan Troy, um he was app<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">oin<\/span>te<span class=\"reader-highlight\">d the Chief counsel and started intervening in private lawsuits against Fiser by us<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">ing some<\/span>thing cal<span class=\"topic_e2be8e03-bf8b-46d4-8d0f-96a5803c0458\">led t<\/span>he preemption brief basically saying even if Fizer wanted to warn, they wouldn&#8217;t the Fda didn<\/span>&#8216;t see it as an issu<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">e so pr<\/span>eemption you know took<span class=\"topic_17a98178-bea2-48c2-b064-8bd16a95e568\">\u00a0over St<\/span>ate&#8217;s rights Etc. Th<\/span>ey were discovered because there were all sorts of laws<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">uits tha<\/span>t were happening during this time and I don&#8217;t know\u00a0<\/span>if you remember uh um Phil Hartman who was on Saturday Night Live and he yes yes yes yeah and so he got murdered, he was murdered by his wife and then um she killed herself. Well she had just started Zola and they had big litigati<span class=\"topic_7dacdd23-525f-4d64-af55-7fa6aff39013\">on the fam<\/span>i<span class=\"topic_26b6d5f2-23dd-432b-9c66-a653d1312144\">ly d<\/span><span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_26b6d5f2-23dd-432b-9c66-a653d1312144\">id aga<\/span>inst Fizer but it\u00a0<\/span>was all secretly settled and so you know there were a lot of things were happening during the time of Woody&#8217;s death and so anywa<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ys this um Law Firm that I work with and they&#8217;re one of the t<\/span>op out there out in La. It was also the behaviors of how the companies like talking about withdrawal. Let&#8217;s Not tell that. Wait a minute. Can you back up a second? Because I I I just want to be very clear when you were going around. these docume<span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_65e31420-160d-4881-91b7-488e8188fab2\">nts were showin<\/span>g that the Fda and\u00a0<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">Fizer k<\/span>new about these side effects<span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\"><span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0the wit<\/span>hdrawal side effects<span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\"><span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0a whole<\/span>\u00a0host of other side e<span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">ffects<\/span><span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\"><span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">. Th<\/span>ey knew\u00a0<\/span>about it and they kept it from the American people right<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">? That<\/span>&#8216;s what<\/span>\u00a0was in these documents?<span class=\"topic_65e31420-160d-4881-91b7-488e8188fab2\">\u00a0Yes, Okay, I j<\/span>ust want to be very clear about that. So they play games you know looking at like I didn&#8217;t realize that even um Flexitine which is Proac in Germany it initially was never approved for two reasons: lack of efficacy and risk of suicide. that wa<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">s in th<\/span>e 80s and So eventually the Fda approved it.<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">\u00a0Th<\/span>ey got it approved the Bga which is the Fda equivalent i<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">n G<\/span>ermany. Woo<\/span>d<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">y die<\/span>d in 2003 and now we&#8217;r<span class=\"topic_1ba720a8-e741-43d4-8019-943e220c4d87\">e at 200\u00a0<\/span>you know 24 and it just it continues to go and you know it&#8217;s Int<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">eresting<\/span>\u00a0when you look at D because they tell a very very very differe<span class=\"topic_c3008254-3b05-4ff5-82de-eab593bb3dea\">nt story. Something\u00a0<\/span>you said at the beginning of the interview is that the Fda was hold<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">ing<\/span>\u00a0these hearings or\u00a0<span class=\"topic_fb6077cc-6d60-4d63-84d0-8f91d367be93\">having t<\/span>hese meetings at least back in. I think you said 1991 on suicide righ<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">t? They<\/span>\u00a0were having these meetings and members of Congress wer<span class=\"topic_16cc1fb1-be68-477b-932d-f844c1667ed7\">e just s<\/span>ort of signing off on it saying there&#8217;s nothing here. So first of all did they know then when they were holding these meetings that it was causing that the that was one of the side effects<span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">\u00a0and<\/span><span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\"><span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">\u00a0num<\/span>ber two\u00a0<\/span>if they were do if they were holding these meetings and they had the Fda had this inf<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">orm<\/span>ation and data from Germany and other places Were they hiding and covering it up?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">17:06<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\">Yeah so going back to the 91\u00a0<span class=\"topic_fb6077cc-6d60-4d63-84d0-8f91d367be93\">hearings<\/span>\u00a0if you look at who&#8217;s on it and that&#8217;s it&#8217;s Iro<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">nic because tha<\/span>t&#8217;s actually the Fda Advisory com<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">mit<\/span>tee I sit\u00a0<span class=\"topic_b2b4ea90-0b22-475a-b9da-dc836868ba9c\">on today,<\/span>\u00a0the Psychopharmacologic Drugs Advisory Committee. Almost every mem<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ber on that committee had Fi<span class=\"topic_b2b4ea90-0b22-475a-b9da-dc836868ba9c\">nancial t<\/span>ies to the companies who are making anti-depressant makers and so that&#8217;s where I learned a<\/span>bout that right again. Um and now I do think there were things that the Fda may not have kno<span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">wn\u00a0<\/span>because um there we<\/span>re some documents that came\u00a0<span class=\"topic_65e31420-160d-4881-91b7-488e8188fab2\">out of fr<\/span>om like Fiser Uk that was ha<span class=\"topic_e2be8e03-bf8b-46d4-8d0f-96a5803c0458\">ppeni<\/span>ng over in another part of the world Now should because Fizer is responsible for all of their Global right. even if they they know what&#8217;s happening in the Uk. maybe the Fda doesn&#8217;t and you\u00a0<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">know ma<\/span>ybe we didn&#8217;t have the same kind of connection and you know um information sharing that we do today but Fiser knew so somebody knew abou<span class=\"reader-highlight\"><span class=\"topic_e2be8e03-bf8b-46d4-8d0f-96a5803c0458\">t thi<\/span>s right?\u00a0<span class=\"topic_56beac7c-6758-40b1-a799-b45fb7456fca\">But you\u00a0<\/span>know when you lo<\/span>ok back at those 91 hearings where those you know th<span class=\"topic_fb6077cc-6d60-4d63-84d0-8f91d367be93\">e the me<\/span>mbers had ties to Industry making other antidepressants not the Proac that wasn&#8217;t just on suicide that was suicide a<span class=\"reader-highlight\">nd violenc<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">e and s<\/span>o we I alw<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">ays hav<\/span>e to remind p<\/span>eople that that hearing wasn&#8217;t even<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">\u00a0thoug<\/span>h Woody die<span class=\"topic_fb6077cc-6d60-4d63-84d0-8f91d367be93\">d of su<\/span>icide which in my mind s<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">uicid<\/span>e is viol<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">ence ag<\/span>ainst yourself ver<span class=\"topic_b0ee4a4b-f0f3-45f5-b581-0cd2a48d61c9\">sus hom<\/span>icide is violence against others but they were already investigating that link in 91.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">18:39<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\">Wow so what let&#8217;s talk about some of the\u00a0<span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">side<\/span><span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\"><span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">\u00a0eff<\/span>ects her<\/span>e. I mean I let&#8217;s let&#8217;s really kind of dive into maybe some of the different medications\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d1d73a71-33d9-4c02-be11-f0d867cc1b40\">and some of<\/span>\u00a0the side eff<span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">ects<\/span><span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\"><span class=\"topic_0945d596-0e4f-4218-932b-58ed71ca67a8\">\u00a0tha<\/span>t we kno<\/span>w exist verifiably exist in the document<span class=\"topic_65e31420-160d-4881-91b7-488e8188fab2\">s and it&#8217;s pr<\/span>ovabl<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">e. Can y<\/span>ou walk through some of those? Sure. Well, one of the ones that was actually kept from the pu<span class=\"reader-highlight\">blic is a side<span class=\"topic_26876bca-b729-48a5-8e6e-5d89889ef71d\">\u00a0effec<\/span><\/span>t ca<span class=\"topic_f3286006-3bae-4d0e-9a4d-857434dc02b6\">lled Akathesi<\/span>a. Ak Um, Athesia is like an internal agitation where you just want to like scratch it out of you you&#8217;re constantly moving it&#8217;s kind of um wher<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">e like W<\/span>oody that head outside\u00a0<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">the b<\/span>ody and literally one of the documents that Um wa<span class=\"topic_65e31420-160d-4881-91b7-488e8188fab2\">s. Fizer Chie<\/span>f Medical Offi<span class=\"reader-highlight\">cer Dr. Roger Lane had written an article discussing what Athesia is in a journal that is public. But what wasn&#8217;t public\u00a0<\/span>was the memo that h<span class=\"reader-highlight\">e\u00a0<span class=\"topic_26876bca-b729-48a5-8e6e-5d89889ef71d\">sent t<\/span>o his sales staff that said the attached Journal article may not be suitable for General Practitioners, but only for neuro, neurol<\/span>ogically inclined psych, um psychiatrists. And in that Um Journal article he said if a person experiences Athesia w<span class=\"reader-highlight\">hich is that internal like<\/span>\u00a0restlessness quote unquote his words, death may be a welcome result because you just want it to end.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"showAll MuiBox-root css-1leppzr\">\n<div class=\"jss39\">\n<div class=\"jss40\"><button class=\"MuiButtonBase-root MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation MuiButton-root MuiButton-text MuiButton-textPrimary MuiButton-sizeSmall MuiButton-textSizeSmall MuiButton-disableElevation css-1606mhr\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\">19:59<\/button><\/div>\n<div class=\"jss38\">\n<p data-testid=\"summary-chunk-original\">And so they kept that from Gps and so this is what I&#8217;m sa<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ying like when you saw all this in black and white on their letterhead this is and my husband&#8217;s dead\u00a0<\/span>and you guys knew this like I don&#8217;t understand so that is one that is a very that It sounds like Malthusian. I mean not to get to a whole other level but it sounds like Malthusian almost like population control in a way like they&#8217;re excited about<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0this idea. I mean we see i<\/span>t in Canada there certainly happy about it up there. um they know abo<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ut it and they&#8217;re they&#8217;re just fin<\/span>e to go along<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0with it. So when we met with the Fda um t<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">he\u00a0<\/span>peop<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">le respons<\/span>ible for the psychiatric drugs um<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">\u00a0Tom\u00a0<\/span>Lockran and Roger um and um Bob Temple and we told him like how did Woody go<span class=\"topic_126b91fe-f1f6-4d27-8a34-439ddc6afcef\">\u00a0from<\/span>\u00a0not sleeping five weeks later head outside his body to dead in five weeks right? That should make you be curious to go out and investigate and so you know I go. They&#8217;re not being tal<span class=\"topic_d8f4e00b-829a-48b6-93cd-8168c744a76b\">ked a<\/span>b<\/span>out and it&#8217;s being suppressed. Have you\u00a0<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">been abl<\/span>e to uncover why you think no one&#8217;s talking about it? Well I think it&#8217;s big business. I just needed to go show them the documents because I&#8217;m so tired of anothe<span class=\"topic_65e31420-160d-4881-91b7-488e8188fab2\">r one happens<\/span>\u00a0another one happens and we keep asking the question why is this happening I&#8217;m like um I doe<span class=\"topic_fdf2ded6-0d4e-433c-9f7b-a853c223665c\">sn&#8217;t tak<\/span>e a rocket science like I&#8217;m just a lay person and I<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0can say why aren&#8217;t we asking the\u00a0<\/span>question questions but once you start looking at the system righ<span class=\"topic_fdf2ded6-0d4e-433c-9f7b-a853c223665c\">t you kn<\/span>o<span class=\"topic_fdf2ded6-0d4e-433c-9f7b-a853c223665c\">w there&#8217;s<\/span>\u00a0Behavioral Health and you&#8217;ve got all those that use the anti-depressants it&#8217;s such a big part of w<span class=\"reader-highlight\">hat&#8217;s going you know the system, they shut it d<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">own righ<\/span>t away saying a tippa and I\u00a0<\/span>think that they don&#8217;t want it\u00a0<span class=\"reader-highlight\">to um you know there are people who will say that they call them the clos<\/span>ers<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0they come in the fixers to like\u00a0<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">kind o<\/span>f shut up all of the mental health I&#8217;ve always said if there&#8217;s a shooting Hippa doesn&#8217;t apply<\/span>\u00a0I we need to know what drugs a person was on and we should be demanding it as the public and right right Do we really c<span class=\"topic_40385beb-5ec6-4840-a9ad-c6c60f266e4d\">are A<\/span>fter this person has killed 15 people we care about th<span class=\"topic_26876bca-b729-48a5-8e6e-5d89889ef71d\">eir me<\/span>dical privacy rights right? I get to see D You know I get t<span class=\"reader-highlight\">o see the data before I get to ask questions of not<span class=\"topic_fdf2ded6-0d4e-433c-9f7b-a853c223665c\">\u00a0only the<\/span>\u00a0Fda, but the spo<span class=\"topic_71f758bf-d533-4dff-a6b0-341a2d57e719\">nso<\/span>r and more importantly I get to vote whether or not to recommend an approval or not. Um but I still showed up I said I&#8217;m s<\/span>till coming out I&#8217;m going to speak at<span class=\"reader-highlight\">\u00a0the public hearing\u00a0<span class=\"topic_fb6077cc-6d60-4d63-84d0-8f91d367be93\">because<\/span>\u00a0people l<span class=\"topic_688dc536-ff9c-4f75-a26c-52b79e8e136d\">ike my<\/span>\u00a0committe<span class=\"topic_b2b4ea90-0b22-475a-b9da-dc836868ba9c\">e who was<\/span>\u00a0GNA take a warnin<span class=\"topic_7c431a2f-3805-40d7-a567-24f554746ff2\">g off tha<\/span>t th<\/span>e whole reason the warn<span class=\"topic_7c431a2f-3805-40d7-a567-24f554746ff2\">ing got put<\/span>\u00a0on was because of all the lawsuits<span class=\"topic_008b7e84-4296-4485-8b2f-240b37454c09\">\u00a0and all<\/span>\u00a0of the the the actual harms that came out of and discovered after and so I I s<span class=\"reader-highlight\">till showed up but that is a classic example of what it&#8217;s lik<span class=\"topic_d51902e0-d773-4a67-b227-d0ea8b1daac7\">e to be\u00a0<\/span>on those committees.\u00a0<span class=\"topic_b2b4ea90-0b22-475a-b9da-dc836868ba9c\">I would th<\/span>i<\/span>nk they would want to hear from somebody lik<span class=\"topic_56beac7c-6758-40b1-a799-b45fb7456fca\">e me but<\/span>\u00a0they don&#8217;t like you know my term&#8217;s up and I&#8217;m pretty sure I&#8217;ll not be asked back I did. They did extend it during Covid probably more because they didn&#8217;t have time to you know to do the research or bring somebody else out. We certainly saw this with sexual. We We certainly saw this with uh, sexual assault and o<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ther things in the workplace. Um, through litigat<\/span>ion and throu<span class=\"topic_7dacdd23-525f-4d64-af55-7fa6aff39013\">gh settlem<\/span>ents. and we&#8217;ve seen changes in Congr<span class=\"reader-highlight\">ess that have allow<span class=\"topic_16cc1fb1-be68-477b-932d-f844c1667ed7\">ed some\u00a0<\/span>of that now to be unsealed that these sort of gag orders, these uh, non-disclosu<\/span>re agreements and things like that can now be erased for the common good and for the purpose of trying to prevent harm in other people. It doubled like they were on 150, milligrams was on 50 and it all came from tele medicine they hadn&#8217;t even seen their doctor.
