If only George Orwell could see what we have become.\u00a0 Today I am writing this article in the midst of a deep state of sadness.\u00a0 I have to admit, I haven\u2019t been this sad in a very long time.\u00a0 In fact, I don\u2019t even know if I am going to be able to complete this article.\u00a0 What they are doing to this country that I love is really starting to get to me emotionally.\u00a0 America is supposed to be a beacon of liberty and freedom for the entire world, but now we are on the cutting edge of the global trend toward authoritarianism.\u00a0 I know that a lot of people have been leaving the United States in recent years in an attempt to escape the madness, but at this point we see authoritarianism on the rise just about everywhere.\u00a0 Just look at New Zealand.\u00a0 Just look at Australia.\u00a0 Just look at the Philippines.\u00a0 At one time people were fleeing to those countries, but now they have become some of the most authoritarian regimes of all.<\/p>\n
I feel so frustrated because I feel like I have been banging my head against a brick wall.\u00a0 Over the past decade, I have written countless articles warning that we were losing our liberties and our freedoms, and very large numbers of people all over the globe read those articles.<\/p>\n
But did they do any good?<\/p>\n
Here are just a few examples of what I am talking about\u2026<\/p>\n

More Freedom.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \u2013\u201cThe Police State Is Coming For \u2018Religious Extremists\u2019, \u2018Evangelical Christians\u2019, \u2018Pro-Life\u2019 Activists And \u2018Libertarians’\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n \u2013\u201c12 Signs That Americans Who Love Liberty And Freedom Should Watch Their Backs\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n I warned that this day was coming, and now it is here.<\/p>\n For a while, they were content to whittle away our liberties and freedoms on the periphery, but now we are facing a full-fledged frontal assault on our most basic liberties and freedoms.<\/p>\n And what makes it even more frightening is the fact that millions of completely brain-washed Americans are cheering them on as they do it.<\/p>\n If our founders could see us today, they would be absolutely horrified at what we have become.<\/p>\n Because I am often so critical of what has happened to us, a lot of people out there assume that I must hate this country.<\/p>\n But of course that is not true at all.\u00a0 I deeply love America.\u00a0 I deeply love our history, I deeply love our traditions, and I deeply love the values that this nation is supposed to represent.<\/p>\n That is why it deeply grieves me that these things are now being ripped away from us.<\/p>\n We are the generation that is witnessing the end of America.<\/p>\n For whatever period of time the political entity known as \u201cthe United States\u201d is allowed to continue, it won\u2019t be \u201cAmerica\u201d anymore.<\/p>\n Sure, the U.S. Constitution will still be on public display somewhere, and the politicians will still pay lip service to it.\u00a0 But for all practical purposes, the dream of what \u201cAmerica\u201d was supposed to be will be dead.<\/p>\n Sometimes people say that we have too many complainers and not enough people taking action, but I am one of those people that did try to take action.\u00a0 I spent nearly an entire year of my life running for office, and me and my campaign manager traveled thousands upon thousands of miles so that we could personally talk to as many voters as possible.\u00a0 Everywhere I went I warned that unless emergency action was taken there wasn\u2019t going to be a future for America.\u00a0 I begged, I pleaded, I delivered passionate speech after passionate speech, but in the end it wasn\u2019t good enough.<\/p>\n Ultimately, I was beat by the very definition of a \u201cseat filler\u201d.\u00a0 The guy who beat me couldn\u2019t be more inactive even if he suddenly turned into a door handle.<\/p>\n Why can\u2019t we have extremely passionate politicians that have fire in their bellies?<\/p>\n Just look at what happened today<\/a>.\u00a0 My father was in the U.S. Navy, and so to see this happen literally made me sick.<\/p>\n So why aren\u2019t liberty-loving members of Congress speaking up about this?<\/p>\n Rand Paul has chosen to make a bold stand<\/a>.<\/p>\n Where in the world is everyone else?<\/p>\n I am so sick and tired of these \u201cdo nothing\u201d politicians.\u00a0 They are standing aside as our Republic is literally being destroyed.<\/p>\n A lot of people out there still think that the changes that we are witnessing are just temporary.\u00a0 They think that eventually this pandemic will fade away and everything will return to \u201cnormal\u201d somehow.<\/p>\n But what they don\u2019t realize is that the elite will always find another excuse to move even further down the road toward authoritarianism.<\/p>\n Two decades ago, it was 9\/11.<\/p>\n Then it was \u201cthe war on terror\u201d, which has now evolved into \u201cthe war on domestic extremism\u201d.<\/p>\n For the past couple of years, the pandemic has given them the cover that they needed to greatly accelerate their program.<\/p>\n In 2021, the federal government is working hand in hand with big corporations and the mainstream media to advance the \u201cBig Brother\u201d agenda.\u00a0 At this point things have gotten so bad that we can\u2019t even criticize certain specific points of their agenda anymore because if we do we will immediately get censored.<\/p>\n For a long time, the Internet allowed ordinary citizens like you and me to communicate on a mass scale outside of their control.<\/p>\n But now those days are over, because they are clamping down really hard.<\/p>\n Just like in George Orwell\u2019s novel, they want to control what we say, what we think, what we believe and what we feel.<\/p>\n Having an independent opinion is \u201cdangerous\u201d, and thinking for yourself is \u201cdangerous\u201d.<\/p>\n We have literally become a \u201c1984 society\u201d, and most Americans are just standing by and watching it happen.<\/p>\n And as I have been saying for years, if we stay on our current course there is no future for America<\/a>.<\/p>\n
