Isaiah 40:5 “Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The LORD has spoken!” The whole world is about to see the greatest demonstration of God’s glory we have ever seen. However, this glory will do very different things to different people and nations. It will be revealed to all, as scripture says, but to some it will bring blessing and mercy, while to others it will bring judgment and curses. This is a sober warning as the world comes to a point of no return.
We have come to a tipping point in history where all will remember this moment as the before and after of the “Glory Invasion.” We are now into the weeks and months of some of the biggest shifts and changes the world has ever seen. It will be undeniable and will remove the grey areas. Prepared believers, who have their lamps full of oil and ears to hear, know by now that we are in an Epoch moment and that the world has already changed and will never be the same again.
The “Glory Reset” That Will Change The World
People talk of the “Great Reset”, but what the world needs to be aware of is the “Glory Reset”. The coming glory will reset nations into 2 camps – Sheep and Goat nations. The difference will be so stark that some will view the sudden decline of some nations as harsh and question how God would allow some nations to fall into such hardship and depravity – but God is just and man has chosen this.
Believers should not worry too much about man’s vain intentions to set the stage and tempo at this time – Our God is Sovereign and reigns over the affairs of man. His plan will be fulfilled regardless of mans best intentions to accelerate the enemies agendas. Psalm 2:1-4 “1 Why do the nations conspire[a] and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, 3 “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.”
Habbakuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” I had a recent dream where I saw this. The glory of the Lord covering the earth like water. It covered every nation and above the nations was the Holy Spirit hovering and looking for a place to land – like the way the Spirit of God hovered over the earth before creation. It was clear that this glory was already over all the earth, but most did not perceive it. It was also clear that if the Spirit of God was not given a place to land, then the glory that covered that nation had a very different and catastrophic effect. “And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” – Matthew 8:20. Jesus has always looked for a place to rest in people and nations in order to bring His salvation and blessing. However, if He does not find that place in this season ahead, His glory will have the opposite effect.
Glory Bringing Blessing Upon Believers
With what is about to be shared, it is important to first balance it with a reminder of the level of glory and blessing that true believers are about to experience in the midst of the darkness. Isaiah 60:1-3 gives us the true context of our day and promises great glory upon God’s people in the midst of darkness that we should always keep in mind. Believers are familiar with promises of the greater glory that God’s people will experience in the Last Days. “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the LORD of hosts.” – Haggai 2:9.
We should also remember the impact of the glory at Solomon’s temple dedication, where it was so tangible and powerful that the priests could not stand to minister. “And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled His temple.” – 1 Kings 8:11. Jesus also promises us that we will do “greater works” and His words cannot return void and therefore a remnant will do exactly as Jesus promised.
So for the prepared ones the time of promotion, influence, revival, blessing and favor is absolutely upon us. We should never forget this exciting narrative that God has a great plan for His people as overcomers and ones that shine in darkness. As only seeing the darkness or doom and gloom is not healthy for believers. Those who have been patiently believing for promises will finally see them fulfilled. This season is going to be such a contrast and is rightly described as the best of times and the worst of times at the same time. Believers will be blessed and experience God’s glory like never before, but the unrighteous will experience judgement and the consequences of sin.
Glory Bringing Judgment Upon The Ungodly
So while prepared believers are about to step into their purpose and the greatest levels of glory ever seen – we now have to look at the other side of the coin. The impact of the glory upon the wicked, unrepentant and prideful nations and people. It will be a shock to some believers to read some of the following scriptures that clearly show the opposite and negative effects of the glory of God. God’s glory can bring blessing, transformation, healing and mercy. But for the wicked, evil, unrepentant that same glory brings destruction. The world and not just believers are about to witness shocking and horrific disasters for people and nations that refuse the grace and mercy of our Living God. Few believers are truly prepared for what we are about to see live on TV over the next months and years. God’s glory can indeed bring life and mercy – but to the wicked it brings death and destruction as He is a holy and just God and the earth is still His.
I am going to present a passage of scripture that believers will need to digest and prepare their minds and hearts for, if they are not to fall into fear and even offence at God in the time ahead. We have all heard the question: “If God is loving why all the evil and why did He let such and such happen?” Believers need a deep understanding and acceptance of the following, if not even they will question God in the season ahead.
The Ark of God’s Glory Bringing Death & Destruction to the Philistines
The context of the scripture in Samuel is the rebellion of Israel leading to their defeat to the Philistines and the Ark being taken by them. The Ark of the Covenant represents the presence, glory and protection of God. It also represented Christ. When it was in the midst of Israel they were blessed and victorious over their enemies. When it was captured because of their disobedience, they experienced defeat, curses and fell away. The Philistines, Israel’s enemies recognized the significance of the Ark and when they defeated Israel they took the Ark. However, they were a wicked and idolatrous nation who were Israel’s sworn enemies and devil inspired. Therefore, for such a nation to have the Ark which housed the literal presence and Glory of God – meant death and destruction. The whole passage of scripture with its context of chapter 4 and 6 are worth reading and meditating on. However, here is the main section in chapter 5.
6“The LORD’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation on them and afflicted them with tumors. When the people of Ashdod saw what was happening, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel must not stay here with us, because his hand is heavy on us and on Dagon our god.” 8 So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and asked them, “What shall we do with the ark of the god of Israel?” They answered, “Have the ark of the god of Israel moved to Gath.” So they moved the ark of the God of Israel. 9 But after they had moved it, the Lord’s hand was against that city, throwing it into a great panic. He afflicted the people of the city, both young and old, with an outbreak of tumors.[b] 10 So they sent the ark of God to Ekron.
As the ark of God was entering Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out, “They have brought the ark of the god of Israel around to us to kill us and our people.” 11 So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and said, “Send the ark of the God of Israel away; let it go back to its own place, or it will kill us and our people.” For death had filled the city with panic; God’s hand was very heavy on it. 12 Those who did not die were afflicted with tumors, and the outcry of the city went up to heaven.”
The Land of the Philistines and its people were devastated and wanted rid of the same glorious Ark of His Presence that blessed Israel, who desperately wanted it back in their midst. This perfectly illustrates the coming effects of the glory and its astonishing contrasting effects. The important conclusion and aspect to be drawn from this scripture, is that when the glory of the Lord resides in a wicked and idolatrous nation – the same glory that brings blessing to His people – will bring death and destruction. This is clear and a shocking revelation for many. This is a principle that we are about to see manifest globally as the glory of the Lord manifests globally.
We will see such a contrast in nations as the glory of the Lord will be manifest in wicked nations and you will see exactly what happened in Philistine in these nations. Leaders will drop in a day, false prophets will drop, nations will fall overnight, economies will crash in a day, natural disasters resetting boundaries, conflict, plagues and demonic infiltration causing levels of evil and depravity we have never seen. It will be literally “Hell on earth” rather than Heaven on earth for some nations. Nations will resemble Sodom & Gomorrah overnight and you will see godless regions bereft of hope and God’s grace. People will be forced to change the TV channel as they simply cannot believe what they are watching. When we see these things coming upon the earth and the people, we should pray for God’s mercy. While the coming effects of the glory cannot be avoided, the impact can be mitigated by our prayers.
This is a time to ensure we are full of oil, have ears to hear, eyes to see and ready to step into destiny. It is not a time for fear and panic like the world will be full of fear. This is the season for which the body of Christ has been prepared like Joseph to rise and be the solutions and powerful witnesses we were created to be. The world will have little choice but to look to those who have Christ in them – the only hope.
Romans 13:14 “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfil its desires.” Believers need to put on their armour and spiritual seat belts (full trust in Christ and His Word no matter what) as the world is about to go on a rollercoaster we have never seen before. It will be perfectly clear which believers have built on the sand or on the rock which is Christ and His word. It is going to look chaotic and messy, but God is bringing divine order in the earth that will catapult the Ekklesia to its rightful position where the Gates of Hell can no longer prevail. May we pray for His mercy upon nations in the earth, while we remain steadfast in faith and not fear, as the Glory Reset redefines the world as we know it, bringing glory to God and a harvest of souls.
Romans 11:22 “Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell [into spiritual ruin], severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness [in faith and obedience]. Otherwise you also will be cut off.”
It could be that I am just an old man who has finally taken one step too far into Neverland and has lost the plot. But I don’t think so. I have been feeling a growing tension in my heart for years now, and the last few weeks and days have brought up the tempo to a fervor! I have, for some reason been shouting that the end is near, that something really BIG is about to happen on the earth! I Have felt that mid December marks the start of something incredible. The rising tension in my heart, till I feel as if it is about to explode!, Suddenly it all makes sense, the years of anticipation and witnessing all the craziness going on, why I have been obsessed in searching it out. Really dear brothers and sisters! NOW it all makes sense. Take what I say with a big grain of salt, but WOW!
I have something that happen to me a month ago. I got sick and dehydrated by time I got to the hospital , I flat lined . only died for a short time ; remember seeing the medical working
on me, my spirit awake! I was three days in hospital, when I got home the realization God had touched me durning my illness, filling me with Joy Excitement, ready to go as His Call.
Now, if I may, I always felt Isaiah 60, was talking about Israel. Because this is where Jesus
will come?q
@rachel – I understand how you feel…and have struggled with the same concerns. It reminds me of when moses had the people stuck between an approaching army from the rear and a body of water blocking the path.
The people cried out in terror…Moses!? Did you bring us out here to die!? There is no hope! No way!
Then a way forward was made that no human could conceive of
That is a comfort and hope for me and it can be for you too. We dont love and serve a man or an idea or a principle, our leader is the actual Creator of the heavens and earth. Nothing is too hard for Him.
YESSSSS! I KNOW that my whole life has led me to THIS exact moment! Super excited!
God has showed me the same over the years but what I dont understand is how are we going to be blessed when the economy is shut down and we cannot even go to grocery store to buy food? I dont get how We can be soo blessed living in this dark world when everything comes crashing down around us? How does this work exactly? Lol somebody help explain?
He rained down manna on the Israelites in the wilderness. He sent ravens to bring food to Elijah. He multiplied the loaves and fishes to feed the 5,000. He’s done it before and He can do it again.
The Lord has shown me the same thing, even some of the exact wording. He also told me to pray for the innocent ones.
This absolutely resonates. Thank you Thomas!
Great job Thomas–thank you! You’ve captured our present time and landscape, perfectly framing it in a Scriptural context. Blessings to you!
Thank you so much for this. Your explanation has blessed me.
