On January 17 2016, I awoke from a dream with such a strong presence of the Holy Spirit and a crushing burden for the church.
My dream was about an evangelist that kept pleading with the people, “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit! Do not grieve Him!”
There was more to the dream, but those words lingered in the air as I awoke. The burden was so crushing and the feeling that the Lord was grieving poured through my being. In prayer He began showing me the church is a sleeping giant that needs to be awakened! It has to be poked and prodded. If it doesn’t awaken, then persecution MUST come. There is no other way.
These words flowed out from me and I have been pressed to share them with you. There are so many Christians that resist more of God and want to keep quiet about their faith. They have been taught the Holy Spirit is automatically received when one gives their life to Christ, so they don’t realize there is so much more God wants to do in us and through us. It is only by listening to His Spirit and obeying Him that we can achieve what we are destined to do. Each one of us needs to get in our quiet place and devour the Word and seek His face!
Wake Up Sleeping Giant! Arise Church! Arise! Our Savior comes for a spotless bride, without sin, without compromise.
Wake up, sleeping giant! Dust off our rags and put on a robe of pure white. It is time to consecrate ourselves and repent! Receive the Holy Spirit – the Comforter, Teacher, Protector, and Helper. Without Him we have no power to do the things we will be commissioned to do. If we ignore and resist Him, our assignment will be given to another, so that God’s will can be accomplished.
Do not grieve Him! He is our friend. He wants to teach us the ways of God and reveal the truths of the Father to us. Our clothes are scarlet, oh Church! We have compromised and are found wanting. There is no reward for the stubborn and proud. Rebellion is as witchcraft in His eyes and our pride will only cause us to fall. The Lord cannot be used as a toy to be played with whenever we feel like, then tossed aside at our whim. He is not a magician, only there to perform miracles when we want to show off or when we are in need of one. He is not our servant either, to be ordered around to do our bidding, to fix our problems and provide our needs.
Wake up sleeping giant! The Lord of Hosts is returning! And we are not ready. He weeps at our attitudes. For if the church, the one He placed Himself on the cross for, is not willing to acknowledge Him before the world, He will not acknowledge us before the Father. Many are called, but few are chosen because He knocks on the door of every heart and wants to reside there. He wants to empower us with His Holy Spirit.
Now is the time all creation is waiting for, the revealing of the sons of God.
For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19)
The creation is waiting for us to stand up! Wake up! Put on the armor of God, for we are called to fight now. Fight for truth to be heard in our family, in our community, in our city, in our country and in the world. We are called to be warriors of the King!
We must prepare ourselves and dwell in the Word. Let it give us knowledge and power. We will need it to fight the enemy. Without it we will be conquered. With it we will be conquerors, for that is what the Lord of Heaven’s armies will make us.
So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. (Revelation 3:3)
1 “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you.
3 “Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. (Isaiah 60:1-3)
Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lamp stand out of its place—unless you repent. (Revelation 2:5)
