Jesus said to his disciples concerning the last days “take heed that no man deceives you.”
Question is who are you ultimately accountable to? It is Jesus right? So be careful with those who only tell you what you want to hear. Paul said, “follow me as I follow Christ.”
In order for us to grow we need accountability partners. Many Christians choose to hide our sins from eachother by just pretending to be holy. This is dangerous. Guard your heart yes, but willingly open it for examination before Christ in prayer. Pray for help from those candidates who only bear the fruit of Christ.
Look for people who respectfully challenge you and befriend them. None of us are perfect. We all need to work on our walks with Christ. We cannot grow by pretending we’re good to go. We keep our hearts tender by remaining humble and repentant before Christ.
Paul ran the race. It’s not how we start this race that matters it’s how we finish it. As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion]. Proverbs 27:17
There’s so much wisdom in this message. Thank you for sharing.
