As one who has operated in teaching and in the prophetic as well, I have had to learn how to draw up a balance between Spirit and Truth. Over the years, drawing up the balance between these two things hasn’t always been easy, but over time and through the tutoring of the Holy Spirit I’m learning how to do both.
Jesus when He approached the woman at the well told her that, “The time is coming when the true worshippers of God will not worship upon the mountain or in Jerusalem but they will worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth” (John 4:21-24).
So many of us Love Truth and, as I was raised Baptist, I too learned to have a great respect for the Truth, and while I do have this respect for it, apart from the Spirit there’s a danger of becoming too legalistic. Yet at the same time those who operate only by the Spirit and move too far from the foundation are in danger of getting carried off by the wrong spirits.
God (through a place of intimacy) has drawn up a balance between these two things through True worship. The True Worshippers of God will Worship in Spirit and in Truth.
Through the place of real Intimacy with God our lives become a place of constant Worship, a representation of Worship and an atmosphere of Worship. From this place we can operate in and find a balance between the Holy Spirit and the Truth of Gods Word and as we do the response will be a constant state of worship 8n each of our lives.
It doesn’t mean necessarily that you are going to go around singing all day but your life will become a living example of the True Worshipper. True worship isn’t just music or singing, but it is a place of intimacy flowing from a Heart of Love for the Lord.
As a result, your life will come into alignment with Jesus and the Life of God will resonate from yours. Holy Spirit, I ask that You will visit each one of these today and do what You do best, reveal Jesus to each one of us and as the revelation comes may the response from each of us be the Worship that You So Richly deserve!!!
Do You Know Who You Are??
