On December 27 2016, I had three dreams about the coming rain. I believe this is a corporate word for the body of Christ.
In the first dream, I was in a farmhouse with several other people. I was looking out the window towards the horizon and saw clouds approaching. I knew rain was coming, and that it was needed badly. The land was parched, dry and cracked and we were thirsty. I didn’t see what we were actually doing to get ready but I knew rain was coming and that we had to get ready, because a great amount was going to pour down on us.
In the next two dreams, it was emphasized that God was saying, “It’s going to rain! The rain is coming! Get ready for the rain! I woke up in a sweat and went to my room to pray.
In pondering these dreams, I believe the farmhouse represents this is the latter rain, for the harvest that’s coming. There will be a harvest and the rain is the last great downpour before the great harvest. A deluge is coming!
The Father is telling us to get ready. To get our buckets ready without holes or cracks in them so they don’t leak. He’s asking us to get new buckets, not just mend the old buckets. You cannot put old wine in new wine skin so it makes sense not to put water in old cracked buckets.
We must prepare our hearts. We must get rid of anything that needs to be dealt with from our past, including unforgiveness.
There is an excitement in the air!
The rain is coming!
We want to be ready! Our hearts must be prepared for this rain, so prepare to receive it. I heard a man once say he had a personal visitation from Jesus and Jesus revealed to him that He pours His oil on everyone, but only those who want to receive it, receive it. On those who have hardened hearts, the oil bounces back to Jesus because the person won’t receive it.
Our hearts have to be pliable, they have to be tilled, they have to be ready … like soil to receive the rain. Rain won’t soak into dry cracked ground, it has to be tilled. We have to work on getting our soil ready. Our hearts must be ready to receive the rain. Make us ready Lord.
