On March 23, 2020, the Lord called me to stop and drop everything, and sit with Him alone for a time…so I went totally quiet.
The first day, I sat down in my prayer chair (closet) and shut my eyes to listen for Him when suddenly my smoke alarm blasted twice. I jumped up and ran into my kitchen thinking I didn’t have anything on the stove! I saw and smelled nothing and there was nothing wrong.
I came back to my chair, sat down, and again closed my eyes to seek Him. The instant I closed my eyes, the smoke alarm blasted again. This happened several times in just a minute or two, every time I would close my eyes (I’m sure you’re already picking up on that part of what He was saying). I kept expecting my landlady beneath me on the first floor to call to find out what was happening.
As shrill as that alarm was, I came to realize it was in the Spirit and only I heard it. I believe it blasted 8 times…and by that time I was afraid to close my eyes again! But when I did once more, it finally stopped.
Seeking the Lord, He told me, “Your nation is going to burn.”
He then revealed in the number 8, which signifies a new beginning, He was declaring a WOE; a whole new path, with no turning back….which is no surprise to anyone with eyes to see. This morning, He told me to release this. I pray His words will catch the eyes of those He wants it to.
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.” (Jeremiah 51:58)
Author: Katherine Lehman
Katherine Lehman loved the Lord Jesus when she was a small child, but as she grew up, she turned away from Him. One summer day in the early 80’s when she was far away from Him, she had hit rock bottom and cried out to God saying, “If you’re real, you’re going to have to show me.” He faithfully answered her cry. Since 2010, she has drawn much closer to Him and devoted herself to studying His Word.
