On 3/7/2019 I had a dream that I was going to court to testify. Right before I walked into the courtroom I was asked to put my purse somewhere else where it would be safe. Suddenly I saw several strange entities – aliens? – enter the courtroom. I knew that they were there to harm us and I told the others around me to run. I left the courtroom in a hurry with only the clothes on my back, no purse and no shoes. End of dream.
Now that dream was eerily prophetic since a week ago I was summoned to jury duty for the first time in my life. So on Monday I headed to a church for jury selection. When I arrived, there was a long line of maybe 70 – 80 potential jurors waiting outside the building to get inside. We were told to leave our purses, cell phones, and weapons in the car.
Once inside they took our temperatures and asked us some health questions. Then a police officer said she needed to check my coat pockets for weapons. Then another officer handed me a blue medical mask. Then they seated us in a huge auditorium where everyone was seated 6 feet apart.
So here is where things get interesting. Even though they had already given us medical masks, someone arrived with a box of new masks and distributed those too. The new masks were black fabric with plastic mouth windows. I assumed that they wanted us to wear these new masks so they could see our mouths to ascertain if we were being truthful.
Out of boredom I started reading the directions on the package. It said that the mask was a fashion mask and to be used for non-medical purposes only. Then it said that “any contact between the mouth or face and the mask is detrimental to health”. Then it said we should wash the poison off once a day.
I couldn’t believe what I was reading! It’s detrimental to health? Wash off the poison? Really? I immediately looked around to see if I was on candid camera or something. But no, about a third of the 70 plus people had already dutifully donned their new black masks with mouth windows.
I leaned over to the guy next to me and said “Did you read the back of the package?” He nodded no. So I read the instructions out loud. Some of those nearby laughed while others shook their heads in disbelief.
Then I left the room to talk to someone in charge about the situation. I showed a clerk the instructions on the package and explained my concerns. Then she spoke to someone else. Then I heard a third person say he would talk to the judge.
So I went to the restroom thinking the matter would be resolved. When I came out of the restroom, the circuit clerk of the judicial center approached me. She said that I was excused from jury duty immediately.
I asked why and she said that since I was having a problem with the masks, I could go. I said it’s not about me but about those 70 plus jurors who would be wearing a mask that the package says is detrimental to their health. But instead of addressing the problem, she again reiterated that I needed to leave at once.
I said I needed official documentation on court letterhead that I was being officially excused because failure to show up for jury duty is punishable by fines and/or imprisonment. So she wrote a letter excusing me. Then she asked me to return the mask. I said I would prefer to keep it but she insisted I return it. So I gave it back to her and high tailed it out of there.
I could not believe that she was more concerned about silencing my voice than she was about the health and safety of all those potential jurors. What a strange world we live in where those in charge pretend to care about the health and safety of the people but their actions show just the opposite. As I was drove home I kept thinking about that dream the Lord gave me over two years ago and how prophetic it actually turned out to be.
1 TIMOTHY 5:18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”
1 THESSALONIANS 5:3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

The Lord began drawing Dana to Him about six months before she was saved. By January of 2015, the urgency to make a decision about God was so strong, that it was all she could think about, but she was clueless how to even get saved. One day in her bedroom, she cried out to God telling him she really wanted to be saved, but she didn’t know how. Then she had the thought, maybe she could Google it. And that’s what she did. She found instructions on the Internet and said the Salvation prayer out loud.
In 2017 the Lord led her 600 miles away from her family, friends and home to a place she had never been and did not want to go – Missouri. Then in April of 2019 the Lord gave her a vision of a woman sitting at a desk, writing on paper. That’s when she knew He wanted her to write, but what on earth could she possibly write about? Then in July of 2020 the Lord gave her a vision of an eyebrow pencil outlining a woman’s eye. She interpreted that to mean “I OUTLINE”. And that is exactly what He did. And that’s how the Lord got her to pick up her pen.
