I had a dream on September 18 2012 and another the next day, but did not realize until I had the second one that they were both concerning the same topic and were meant to be together. The first dream I called ‘One Wife, One Husband’, and it goes as follows:
I saw a young man who appeared to be in his 20’s, walking all around a certain city. This city was not specifically named in the dream but I understood it to be a relatively good and clean city. Wherever this man went, I followed, street after street, until it seemed we had traversed the entire city. Nearing the day’s end, we both entered a particular building and went straight into the elevator which I understood was about to go up. I believe there were a few more people in the elevator, but as the scene continued on, they faded into the background and I saw only he and I.
While we stood, he with his back against the wall to my right, and I with mine against my wall, he began to be very troubled, as if he was in agony. He began to double over as if in severe pain, groaning repeatedly “Oh God! Oh God,” and at this point I knew I had a choice. Either I could let him do whatever he was doing by himself, or I could join with him and help him carry his burden. I chose the latter, and when I did, I found myself instantly in God-inspired travail.
Now there were two of us bent double in the elevator, and while his agony was so great that he could only repeat the phrase “Oh God!” over and over, I seemed to interpret his burden and put it into words. In great travail I cried aloud, “Oh God!! Let there be one Husband! God! Let there be one Wife! Oh God!! Let there be one Husband! Let there be one Wife!!” Here the dream ended. I awoke literally in travail, and for the next day, whenever I thought of the dream or spoke of it, I could not stop the travail from welling up inside my spirit.
I had no real idea what this was all about at the time, except I knew the young man was Christ and that I was sharing in His burden. But when I had the second dream the next day, I understood both of them very well. Dream 2 is called ‘They have Killed Christ,” and goes as follows:
The dream began with the understanding that I was traversing about in a city – which this time, seemed like a cross between Jerusalem and Paradise. It was a most beautiful city, lush greenery all around, a place of great peace and joy, the air filled with vibrant life. It had been such an exciting place to live and I had loved very much, but suddenly I caught a glimpse of a small mob of people who in great violence, were carrying off the same young man I had seen in the first dream. Their attitudes were shocking and terrifying. It seemed like a terrifying dream that I could hardly grasp what was going on.
Suddenly the scene changed. It was the next day, and I again saw myself walking down the street of this city, but oh how things had changed. Instead of its vibrant and life-giving spirit, now a great oppression hung over it, drenched with suspicion and superstition. It gave a feeling of great danger everywhere, as if there was no place safe, no corner in which to hide.
I continued to walk down the street, fear gripping my being at every step. Two people turned the corner up ahead of me and came walking towards me, and I sensed that if I gave them the smallest reason to hold me in suspicion, they would cart me off as well. But as the approached me they became so engrossed in their own conversation that they seemed not to notice me, and passed by me.
I then came up to the corner they had come from, and when I turned it, my eye caught sight of a large red door on the end of the building on my right, and the instant my eyes fell on it I heard the phrase “They have killed Christ.” in my spirit.
As soon as I heard it, I dropped to my knees in the middle of the sidewalk, crying out to God in travail of soul, and here the dream ended.
The interpretation to the first dream goes as follows:
The young man is not just Christ, He is the revealed Christ, the revelation that is the heart of God for any given generation. The city is not a literal city, but is Christendom generally speaking, and the fact that we had traversed the whole city means that the message being given was a whole, complete message (I’ll explain that shortly). That we entered an elevator at days end signifies a great change that is coming in how people relate to Christ, and minister His message. The last point of the dream and the most important one, is that there must be one husband, and one wife. Let me explain these points.
There is a major revelation for every generation, which is given to continue God’s work in the big picture, not just for the moment. God does millions of things through His people on a daily basis, and while these things may be very important to themselves or the ones they’re doing them for, they may or may not touch on the revelation that is the heart of what God is doing. But then there are people who have been sent with a divine mandate, a critical word that is the key to unlocking progress into more of God for that day, these divine mandates are God’s heart/revelation.
God has sent numbers of people with divine mandates through the centuries, but it is now at day’s end and a fairly sudden and drastic change is in the making. So now there is a whole new way of ministering Christ. It’s one thing to follow Christ and do what you’re supposed to be doing, but quite another to walk with Him, identify with Him, share in His burden until you and He are one. You are no longer just His servant, you are His partner, and extension of Him to whoever you’re sent. This is not to belittle being Christ’s servant – not at all, but we know very well there is a vast difference between relating to Christ as our Master, and relating to Him as our Husband, and that’s the point.
We are in the day when the Bride is to become a reality, and God is looking for partners, not just servants. There has been a time for Him to be our Lord and for us to learn obedience to Him, but that day is at an end – as the dream said, it’s time for spiritual intimacy, for Him to be really and truly known, and we’ll never do that with the mindset of Master/servant. And this brings us to the main point of this dream, not that there be one husband and wife, but that there be one husband and one wife. Understanding this main point will prove that there is only one way to interpret this dream.
The husband is not just Jesus, it’s the revealed Jesus sent as a mandate from God’s heart for this specific generation. Those who were given a portion of that ‘revelatory loaf’ to share with the rest of the Body, like Christ before them, have not been recognized, but have been snubbed, criticized, rejected, disesteemed, labeled heretics, etc. And each time this occurred, God’s own people have splintered the revelation of the Husband, until instead of having one revelation of Jesus Christ, we have hundreds. We have ‘Jesus only’ believers, ‘trinity’ believers, not Jesus but ‘Yahshua’ believers, baptism in the Holy Spirit believers, rapture believers, mid-trib believers, you name it. There is no unity in the revelation of who Jesus – the Husband, is. And what is worse, it isn’t the world that did this, it’s His own people.
Every time God sends us a message, whether it’s to us personally or through someone else, it’s our choice to hear what the Spirit is saying, and it matters what we do with that word. But when God sends us a mandate, the heart message for our day, to downplay it, discredit it, gossip about the messenger through whom it came, pick holes in it, etc., is to be as guilty as the ones who took Jesus by violence, and killed Him. If we do not think we have anything much to repent of, we haven’t looked in the mirror of His revelation lately.
Now it’s easy to see where the next point comes in. If the revelation of Jesus the Husband has been splintered to the point of being unrecognizable, how in the world do we expect to have unity in the Body of Christ – Jesus’ wife?? It is impossible. Of course the Body isn’t one, because the revelation of Jesus our Husband isn’t one. And there is no way Jesus is coming for a Bride until there is a Bride to come for. No unity, no Bride.
So what do we do? This dream gives us the clue. God is declaring we have reached the end of the day of Master/servant, and a whole new way is coming. As a matter of fact, when I had this dream, I understood that within the next year (2013), God was going to begin raising up some Initiators of the new way He is bringing in, and they are going to bring this revelation of God’s heart to life. This is the meaning of the elevator going up – it’s going to be a revelation not of Christ the man who died for our sins, but of the divine Husband who is risen.
Isaiah spoke of this new way when he said,
Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old, behold, I will do a new thing. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert… to give drink to my people, my chosen. (Isaiah 43:18-20)
God has not only chosen people who will bring in this new way, just as He chose the Apostles to initiate the Covenant of Faith, but this generation has a chosen people in it that must be given drink, and since the old way of food and drink is passing away, the new way of waters flowing out of the wilderness is going to be created.
Peter also confirms a new way coming and links it to the resurrection of Christ, saying,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy, has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible…that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you who are kept by the power of God through faith, unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Peter 1:3-5)
Let me paraphrase that down to something a little more digestible. God has begotten us unto a lively hope by Jesus’ resurrection, for an unfading inheritance that is reserved in heaven, a salvation waiting to be revealed in the last time. If we thought we had salvation and everything we need to be ready to be part of the bride, we have been mistaken. This plainly says we’ve only been given a ‘lively HOPE’ for an unfading inheritance. Why hope for something we already have? And why call it an ‘unfading inheritance’ if what we have isn’t going to fade? (Rom. 8: 24-25)
What we have presently is not what we need to be saved, we are told that this new salvation is ‘reserved in heaven‘ waiting to be REVEALED in the last time. So there is a salvation we haven’t known because it’s been reserved out of our sight, it is based on the resurrected Christ, and it has yet to be revealed in THIS day. This is no time to be self-satisfied, to think ourselves rich, increased with goods, and needing nothing. It’s time to be walking in tune with His revelation, so we recognize the new thing when we hear it.
One more scripture to consider that confirms we have need for something new is found in . Paul said,
“That I may know Him, the power of his resurrection, the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; if by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, neither were already perfect, but I follow after….” (Philippians 3: 10-12)
Paul had been baptized with the Holy Spirit, had suffered whippings, shipwrecks, stonings, etc., yet in all honesty and soberness was confessing that he did not believe he had attained to the resurrection of the dead. We are not going to be changed into His divine image in the twinkling of an eye – nor is that change the full salvation. If you read I Corinthians 15:51-54 carefully, it’s our bodies that will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, but Paul is making clear that we have to have become worthy for that to occur, and that’s what the elevator ride is all about. Identifying with Him, not just following Him. We must be identified with His death before we can possibly identify with Him in His resurrection.
There is one last point to be made regarding the seriousness of what has been done to Christ in this day, and that is that our disregard for His mandated revelation has consequences. While both dreams started with me being in a certain city, the first one was more about the complete message having been given to Christendom, while the second one focussed on Christendom itself, and what was occurring in it. Again, neither are referring to physical cities, but are symbolic of Christendom. Having witnessed Christ being taken away in utter violence, the entire atmosphere of the city changed. Whereas the vegetation had been lush and green, now it was dying. The air was drenched with oppression. No longer was it a place of peace, joy, and vibrancy, but instead, had become filled with suspicion, superstition, and accusation, to the point where it was tempting to be paralyzed with terror while walking its streets. This is what God has revealed concerning this part of the 2nd dream.
Whereas the outward recognized and professed Christendom has been a place of great life, peace, and joy in the past, it will now begin to drastically change. Since they refused His revelation, He is going to let their life die. Consider I Corinthians 11: 23-31. If the literal, physical communion table, with its wine and bread, is cause for God’s judgment being exercised upon those who eat and drink unworthily, what do we suppose disregarding His spiritual, divine ‘blood and bread’ is going to unleash on Christendom? Because people are eating and drinking unworthily, not discerning and respecting Him and His body, many literally get sick and die amongst us, who would not otherwise have done so. Nothing less than this must be unleashed in this day for not discerning the real blood and body. Those who continue to cling to professed Christendom, who use His name while despising His revelation, will find they cannot survive, and will not have the strength and power of spirit that is necessary to stand up against what is coming. Suspicion and fear will overtake their faith, as what is fading makes way for real and lasting salvation.
I made a comment on Mystery Babylon being a system first and foremost, that wherever the criteria is being met on this earth, whether it be the U.S., Rome, or whatever, the title will also be applied. This system is going to pervade over the professed Church as well. That is why Babylon is “fallen, fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, the hold of every foul spirit, a cage of every wicked and hateful bird….” If Babylon has ‘become’ this wicked state, she started out as something entirely different, and certainly that’s what professed Christendom was.
