While I was praying recently, I was reminded of a scene from the children’s movie, ‘The Jungle Book’ where Mowgli makes friends with Kaa, the boa constrictor. She talks smoothly to him, gaining his trust and affection until he slips into a trance. As she readies to devour him, she sings these spine-tingling words;
“Trust in me
Just in me
Shut your eyes
and trust in me
You can sleep
Safe and sound
Slip into silent slumber
Sail on a silver mist
Slowly and surely your senses
Will cease to resist”
A large portion of the world has been lulled into the same trance as Mowgli, as the demonic spirit of Jezebel has sung these words through governing leaders. ‘Just shut your eyes, don’t question anything and trust in us, be silent, go to sleep, slowly and surely you will cease to resist.’
I believe the Lord reminded me of this scene as a warning call to again raise the alarm. Many within the Church have been in a trance by this same tune. They have made friends with it and said, ‘we are loving our neighbors by listening to the song’, but meanwhile, this boa constrictor is devouring their neighbors, picking them off one by one and sending them straight to hell.
In this harvest, we are in a race of time to sound the alarms and usher in as many people as we can, out of the gates of hell and into the gates of heaven. But as long as we are worshiping the false idols of safety and security, the idols of government and big pharma, I fear we will remain under their trance.
While we don’t wrestle with flesh and blood, we are wrestling principalities. It is obvious to anyone who has eyes to see and ears to hear what is truly happening in the realm of the spirit. We are at war, and it’s past time to get out our sword of the spirit and slay. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is roaring through His Bride in this moment, “Cut off the head of the snake, we aren’t playing games anymore.”
