As a source of encouragement, the Lord highlighted these scriptures to me the other day:
1 Chronicles 16:8-17, 23-31 (AMPC)
These scriptures highlight specific actions we are to take when praising the Lord God. At this juncture in time, praising God, often, is our refuge and stronghold. Over the last several years, the Lord has poured out many surprises. One such surprise is the melody for a well known Psalm, specifically, Psalm 42.
The last line of this Psalm struck a chord in me because it simply says:
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God. (NKJV)
May we all avail ourselves of His grace by praising Him.
Amen to that message Eve. Precisely what we all need.
Hope can only lead to more faith. So, without it, where would we be? Lord help us worship Him, regardless. This is what this Psalm means to me.
