Apocalyptic locust seen flying in Ecuador.

The Bible warns of a time of great trouble coming upon the earth when God pours out His wrath upon all unrighteousness. His wrath will be released by His angels, first by sounding seven trumpets, then pouring out seven bowls (Revelation 8-11).

When the fifth angel sounds his trumpet, a star falls from heaven to the earth. I believe this star represents a fallen angel, Satan, falling to the earth after a great war in heaven (Revelation 12:9). Then this fallen one is given a key to the bottomless pit, which enables him to open it, releasing dark smoke into the air, like the smoke of a great furnace. This sounds like the same deep darkness covering the earth that was seen by the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 60:2-3). Then out of the dark smoke came swarms of locusts with power to harm people, like scorpions, but only people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They will not be permitted to kill anyone, just to torment them for five months, but the pain will be so severe, it will cause people to want to die, but death will flee from them. (Revelation 9:1-6)

The description of the locusts is bizarre, unlike anything found on earth today, because they look like horses equipped for battle, but with human-like heads with gold crowns on their heads. They have long hair, like a woman, teeth like lions, and tails that sting like scorpions. They will be led by the same angel who falls from heaven, the one who opens the bottomless pit, releasing them. In Hebrew, he is called Abaddon, and in Greek his name is Apollyon. In English, his name means destroyer. (Revelation 9:7-11)

These events are coming on the day of the Lord, which hasn’t started yet. It begins after the son of perdition, the man of sin, the antichrist, rules 42 months. At the end of his rule, he commits the ultimate abomination, the final blaspheme against God, when he enters the temple in Jerusalem, establishing his throne, seeking to be like the Most High, ruling from Mount Zion (Isaiah 14, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4). So, according to the Bible, we have a ways to go yet before the angels sound their trumpets and the locusts are released, but even so, a lady in Ecuador shared a strange encounter with Steve Quayle recently, claiming to have seen a locust-like creature that fit the description of the ones that will be released on the day of the Lord.

Last February, we were in Ecuador at Parque Paradisio in Cuenca. My son and I were walking together. My son was nine at the time.

A creature flew past us that has almost made me doubt my sanity. He was about ten to twelve inches long. He had wings. He was a grey blue color but mostly grey. His nose was long staight with a large bump on top. His head was bald with a few long hairs and he had a wooden crown on his head. His legs hung limp as if it wouldnt be possible for him to walk. He had little shoes on that turned spiralled on the tip… (like Christmas elf shoes) He had a VERY large stinger. There were dots on his back and chest in the shape of a triangle (in the middle was a red dot) and a plain dot on his forehead. He was like a very old man.

He flew about as high as my chest. I’m five feet tall. It flew slowly and very close to us maybe four feet away. His back was towards us. As he was flying he stalled in the air. He turned his head all the way around without moving his body and looked at us like, Why are you here??? Then he flew away.

My son yelled, “What was that?”

I asked him what he saw (I didn’t want to put ideas into his head) and he described it perfectly to me. He then laughed about his little shoes.

I as well believe we have no clue what we’re in for… God help us! (See complete post)

As the day of the Lord approaches, I believe the barrier separating the physical realm from the spiritual realm will be removed, enabling us to see increased manifestations of spiritual beings in the physical realm, ultimately culminating in the visible sign of the Son of Man appearing in the sky. Today, the Son of Man remains hidden from our view, but on that day, everyone will see Him coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory, and they will mourn with great sorrow, knowing He is bringing judgment on all their unrighteous deeds. (Matthew 24:29-30)

As that day approaches, we can expect to hear more testimonies like the one shared by this woman. I believe she saw a spirit being, not a physical earthly creature, because no physical creature fits her description. She described him as being 10 to 12 inches long, which is interesting because some locusts are about that same size, as shown in the photo below.

If what she saw was a spirit, it shows not all of the spirit-locusts are currently confined to the bottomless pit. However, the creature did not harm her, which shows it was constrained by the Lord, just like the ones released on the day of the Lord. They will only be allowed to harm those who are not sealed with the seal of God on their foreheads. The number of those sealed will be limited to exactly 144,000, the faithful bondservants who remain in the earth during the great tribulation (Revelation 7:1-8). The rest of the righteous will not need to be sealed because they will be removed from the earth in the rapture (Daniel 12:1-4, Matthew 24:15-44, 1 Corinthians 15:51-57, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10, Revelation 7:14).

So this is good news, confirming the righteous have nothing to fear because God will constrain every evil spirit, preventing them from harming His righteous servants today and in the coming day of the Lord. His judgments are not aimed at the righteous, but at the unrighteous, because His purpose is to bring everyone and everything into alignment with His will, under the dominion of His Kingdom, making the crooked places straight and the rough places smooth, which means the safest place we can be is in perfect alignment with His will, walking uprightly before Him in obedience to His commandments. Then we can know we are protected by Him from every foul unclean spirit, including the locusts.

3 A voice is calling, “Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness; make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.
4 Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley;
5 Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 40:3-5).

Good and interesting word, James. I believe we will find that “as it was in the days of Noe…” (Luke 17) encompasses so much more than what most people can conceive; things mostly relegated to fantasy or myths. It seems that much of this has been here all along but mostly hidden from the masses. Now, with easy access to widespread communications through the Net, things that some experienced and only told a few family members or a few friends get broadcast to a much wider audience. I have a few experiences that have been very rarely shared with others but the current social climate is such that many feel more free to share what they used to have kept fairly reserved. Also, decades of television/movies focused on the supernatural or science fiction have, like with many other social and moral issues, moved the public to greater acceptance of things we once would have immediately slammed the door on. The lack of respect for the Bible, the decline of morality, and a slow propaganda campaign somewhat started with Disney and continuing in today’s Star Wars and similar have made many open to virtually anything – well, except the God of the Bible. It is my belief that this topic area could stand a lot more exposure among those who are truly seeking God. It is true that God will protect us BUT He has given us the weapons and the knowledge that He expects us to use in warfare against evil. In Acts there was a prophecy of coming famine and the churches gathered collections that relief might be sent to Judaea – God COULD have multiplied meal and oil for all the believers as with the prophet Elijah but instead He warned of the coming famine and believers prepared… Read more »

HI Tom, The part in your post about what we as people can do reminded me of this word from Randy. One thing the Lord has had me do is befriend single moms one at a time. It does not seem like a big contribution, but if they can make it, their children have a brighter future. We all can help in small ways and large ways. Lord help us to think of others this season… Unlikely Champions There is a famous story of a champion from Gath whose height was six cubits and a span To face this champion in battle the Israelites could not find a single man. But God had a champion of His own one who was willing to take a stand. He had no attributes of a champion but David knew God had a plan. We often fail to see God’s plan because we feel that we’re too small But God doesn’t need our abilities He just needs someone who will answer to His call. God has raised up unlikely champions throughout all recorded history While the enemy’s champions are visibly strong God’s champions often are a mystery. Before David slew his giant there was a boy with a coat of many colors another unsuspecting lad And what his jealous brothers did to him indeed is very sad But a young man sold into slavery enduring circumstances we could not imagine Ruled and saved a nation becoming God’s unlikely champion. In orphanages, schools, churches and in homes around the world someone who is little known God is growing in a young man or woman the seeds of a champion the seeds the He has sown They will be a Joseph and rescue entire nations Or perhaps they’ll be a David defeating gigantic aberrations or enormous… Read more »

It may not seem like much to many people but I do not doubt that it seems like a lot to God. The human nature is to look at the masses, the numbers but each single soul is priceless to God and being His body in reaching, loving, feeding and drawing those individuals is an honor and privilege that will bring rewards here and for eternity. How successful you are in each case is less important than your heart and the love and effort you put into it. I have often told struggling pastors that God will never judge them by the numbers in their congregation but by how faithful they were to His leading and their obedience to His will. Someone needs to help the individual and not just a blanket ministry to crowds. If you are faithful in this that God has led to you I would not be surprised if the Lord, on that day, honored you before many who would say, “look at my numbers” and He will say “I look at your heart.” God bless you Marilee.

Tom – As in Tom Horn? If yes, I just finished your new book with Steve Quayle. The book is fabulous. If not Tom Horn, then you would be interested in his new book! (And you have a similar writing style.) 😊

Sorry, no not T Horn. I agree with you about his books, I have several but not all of his. Tom and Chris Putman made a super writing team. Anyway, thanks for the compliment but I think we’d just better kinda keep it quiet and hope Mr. Horn doesn’t read this. Ha.

Tom – The book is “Unearthing the Lost World of the Cloudeaters”. It talks specifically and in depth about the subject in this post. Definitely a great read.

Scripture speaks of men’s hearts failing them for fear. I’ve often wondered what will cause men’s hearts to fail them simply because of fear? I believe an aspect of this will be unprecedented events in the heavens and earth but I also believe an aspect of it will be the manifestation of evil unlike anything we have ever seen. The kingdom of darkness is throwing off all restraint as their time draws short. As we know the kingdom of darkness is bent upon the destruction of man created in the image of God. We must walk in the infinite wisdom of God and discernment in this time as God’s unshakable kingdom and Satan’s counterfeit kingdom clash.

James, when he was stating about the “whiplash” I was thinking of the dream or vision you had of the Father and son in the truck crash (Gold and silver? start to take off and rise is stopped???)

James I sent you an email over a year ago telling you that God showed me they were going to use drones to shoot homes in a dream. We must pray against this happening. God showed me they are going to do this.

Yes, will pray. G-d’s people can also pray over their homes, dedicate them to the L-rd, rebuke any evil strongholds or authorities, rid homes of questionable objects, etc. Regular devotions and bible reading such as we all do, helps.

Laura, This video is extremely sobering. It is so feasible, yes, let’s pray against it.

Revelation 9:11 is coming the Lord has been warning for years through this end time messenger. We must truly know Jesus to be saved. Please seek the Holy Spirit in this. And if anyone doesn’t agree with this man best to be quiet about it because what they don’t teach in church enough is “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” – because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.” (Mark 3:28-30) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAVY0Q85eww God Bless

In this article you wrote that “the rest of the righteous will not need to be sealed, because they will be removed from the earth in the rapture.” How does this belief fit in with the following scriptures: Proverbs 10:30: “The righteous shall NEVER be removed; but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.” Proverbs 2:21-22: “For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall REMAIN in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be routed out of it.” Psalm 37: 9-10, Proverbs 10:25, Proverbs 52:5, Psalm 37: 28-29 are all supportive scriptures that state specifically that it is the wicked who are cut off and removed, not the righteous. Even in one of the scriptures you referenced (Matthew 24: 14-44) verse 39 shows that the flood in Noah’s day took all the wicked away with the righteous being the ones who remained. Don’t these scriptures contradict what the rapture doctrine teaches? I realize the main scripture used to substantiate the rapture doctrine which you referenced is I Thessalonians 4: 17: “ Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” If you interpret this literally, then we will be forever in the sky. Do you believe this? Presently, the devil is the prince and the power of the AIR as is written in Ephesians 2:2. This is the same word used in Thessalonians 4: 17, not the word used meaning air as in fowls of the air. Satan is not the prince and the power of the SKY, is he? In the day of the coming of the Lord, the devil shall be displaced… Read more »

Although we meet Jesus in the clouds, I believe HE is coming to the earth (ONCE not twice) to rule and reign. We will be hidden as his bowls of wrath are poured out.
“Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer”. Isaiah 26:20-21.
Also Malachi 4:1-3 “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. Then you will TRAMPLE on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty. We can’t trample the ashes of the wicked if we are in heaven.

For a time, the rain falls on the just and the unjust. There is a season even the unsaved prosper and persist.
