It is nearing half past eight in the evening here in India. The entire day I haven’t been myself, wrestling with a message I received in the morning along with instructions to post it. I have been wondering why I received the word I did today. Ever since receiving it, I have been ill at ease.
I read three different passages: Ezekiel 24:15-27, Jeremiah 3:6-13, and Micah 4:1-5. I don’t know why I have received a word for this nation again, considering that I don’t even live there. Nevertheless, I feel the Spirit is leading me to share, and the biggest confirmation for me sharing is this recent post “In My Mercy I Will Raise Up An Army of Kingdom Ambassadors”, which was not there when I checked in the morning.
So, let me begin by asking you, America: Do you know what the Lord desires for you? Yeah, you might answer—repentance.
No, I tell you. That is what you need to do. What the Lord desires is to restore you! You want to know how badly? Read on.
Message 1: Go, write, and post this, so that the people of the United States of America may see it. Judgment is upon them. Yet if they repent and return to me I will not bring upon them the disaster that I have purposed.
Message 2: If America repents, I will relent from the destruction against it. Do you think I take pleasure in destroying such a great land? I would rather see the land and its people repent and be filled with righteousness.
Message 3: Return, faithless and disobedient America, and I will be angry with you no more.
Message 4: In whose name is America walking? In whosoever’s names she is walking, they are leading her blind to destruction. Return, America, and I will restore you.
Message 5: America had such a great destiny. But she has forsaken my plans for those of her own. Return, America, and I will restore you.
Message 6: Who is America’s god? Which god does she trust in? The god that she has put her faith in is leading her to destruction. Return to me, America, and I will restore you.
This is what I received. Now, the three passages I read, I have read them before, and I wasn’t planning to read them today, but the understanding that I received upon reading them today…I never received it before. I did not think up the meaning of the passages in leisure and then purpose to write it here. Perhaps the Holy Spirit wants to reveal something to America, about what it was meant to be and what it has become.
Do not take my words at face value. I am just another messenger. Take this up with the Almighty, and let him give you understanding, for this understanding that I share below is definitely not mine.
Here is the understanding given to me for each passage.
Read Micah 4:1-5. “America you are a mountain of a nation, chief among other nations, but instead of a mountain of righteousness, you have become a mountain of evil. Peoples have always streamed to you, but gone are the days when your goodness was the attraction. Today those who stream to you are attracted by your licentiousness and wickedness. Instead of teaching the world the ways of the Lord, you have taught and exported your sin and vanity. The word of the Lord was to go out from you but today, it is darkness that you spew forth. You once judged and settled disputes across the world. Today, your land reeks with dispute and judgment has come upon you. You once brokered peace, but now you have brokered war. Were you not the land of the American Dream? But today, you are a land of broken dreams. Do you not print on your currency, ‘In God We Trust’? But, I tell you, this day, America, ‘That God Is No Longer Me.'”
Now read Ezekiel 24:15-25. ‘Do you not O Americans, delight in your land? I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes. You will not mourn or weep but will waste away because of your sins and groan among yourselves. When this happens, you will know that I am the Lord.’
Finally Jeremiah 3:6-13. ‘Return, faithless America, and I will frown on you no longer for I am merciful. Only acknowledge your guilt—you have rebelled against the Lord your God and have not obeyed me. Return to me, and I will restore you.’
Author: Sujit Thomas
Sujit was working in Chennai in late 2015 when the Lord began to nudge him to draw closer to Him. That was the beginning of a major spiritual transformation in his life, and he has not looked back since. As someone who has experienced God’s undeserving love, grace, and mercy personally, Sujit would like people to know that the Lord has no pleasure in the death of the unrighteous, but would rather see them repent and live.
