On 6/23/2021 I saw a vision of me on the roof wondering how I could possibly get down. Then I used a sheet to lower myself down off the roof. On 6/26/2021 I saw a vision of a woman open her oven door to peek inside. She lifted the corner of a piece of tinfoil off of the turkey in the oven. Then she said “What’s under here?” End of visions.
Back when I was living in Ohio, something quite bizarre happened to me one day. I was sitting in my lazy boy chair when I heard an odd knocking sound coming from my wood burning stove. My cats suddenly got very excited and began jumping on the stove and pawing at it.
So I peered inside of my stove and, lo and behold, there was a bird in there staring back at me. The bird was very much alive, but terrified. He must have gained entry through the metal stove pipe on the roof. Well now, that was certainly a first. How on earth was I going to deal with this little dilemma?
After mulling the situation over for a few minutes, I decided to go next door to my neighbor’s house to ask for help. I explained my problem to the wife, Patty, and she promptly sent her husband, Stace, over to help me.
The fix turned out to be ridiculously easy. Stace rescued the frightened bird using a bed sheet. Then he released it outdoors and it flew off, unscathed.
Now God can use any situation to communicate and I just knew that He was trying to tell me something with the bizarre bird in a stove incident.
The fact that Stace used a bed sheet to rescue the bird reminded me of Acts 10:9-15. That’s the passage where Peter went upstairs to his room one day to pray. Then he had an open vision of a sheet held up by the four corners being lowered down three times and then raised up again. The sheet formed a sort of “ark” that held all different kinds of creatures including birds.
God said something quite puzzling to Peter that day. He said “RISE, PETER; KILL AND EAT.” For the longest time I meditated on that particular passage pondering the deeper meaning. Here is what I think it means.
RISE:
Come up higher. Focus on the things that are unseen rather than what is seen because that which is seen is temporal but that which is unseen is eternal. It means look at things from God’s perspective and not man’s.
KILL:
Sacrifice your fleshly wants and desires. Do God’s will and not your own. Walk in the spirit and not the flesh. Don’t be overcome by the flesh or by emotions or by feelings. Stay focused on what God is saying and not what man is saying in the natural.
EAT:
Consume the Word of God. Want it more than physical food. The Word of God sanctifies, cleanses, and purifies. The word is life to those who find it and health to all their flesh. The Lord wants us to meditate on His word night and day, believe it over what we see in the natural. And that is what will sustain us in the coming days.
So what was the message to Peter on that particular day? Well, in that day the Gospel was preached only to the Jews and not the Gentiles. That was a precept of man and not God since God no respecter of persons. God is more interested in a person’s heart condition (which a person can control) than his physical traits or his lineage (which he cannot control).
So when the sheet filled with all different kinds of creatures was placed before Peter, God was saying that any person – Jew or Gentile – could be in his “ark” (in this case a sheet). God said to Peter to “kill” in his mind man’s false teaching of Jew’s only being allowed in God’s kingdom. God wanted Peter to “eat” the truth of the Word that both Jew and Gentile are allowed. In order to do that, Peter had to “rise” or see things from God’s perspective. God showed the sheet filled with all kinds of creatures coming down and rising up three times to confirm His word.
Peter, like many Christians today, struggled with his flesh a lot. When faced with stressful situations, he often stopped seeing things from a heavenly perspective and got into his flesh. Case in point was when Peter saw Jesus walking on water towards him in the boat.
Remember when Jesus asked Peter to come to Him? Peter basically walked on water while he had his eyes fixed on Jesus, that is, while he was “walking in the spirit”. But the minute he looked away and noticed the crashing waves and peril in the natural, what happened? He started to sink!
So I think God’s message of “Rise, Peter. Kill and eat” also applied that time too. Peter let his emotion of fear take over instead of trusting in Jesus’ word to just come and be not afraid. If he had kept his eyes stayed on Jesus, he would have been able to walk on water the whole way.
Scriptures
ACTS 10:9 The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. 10Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance 11and saw heaven opened and an object like a great SHEET bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. 12In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 13And a voice came to him, “RISE, PETER; KILL AND EAT.” 14But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” 15And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” 16This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.
2 CORINTHIANS 11:32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king guarded the city of Damascus with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: 33And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
GALATIANS 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24AND THOSE WHO ARE CHRIST’S HAVE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH WITH ITS PASSIONS AND DESIRES. 25If we live in the Spirt, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
ACTS 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him.
COLOSSIANS 3:1 If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
2 CORINTHIANS 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
COLOSSIANS 2:10 And you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power: 11In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
JOSHUA 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
PROVERBS 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings. 21Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. 22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
ROMANS 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you PRESENT YOUR BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY, ACCEPTABLE TO GOD, WHICH IS YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
MATTHEW 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27But immediately Jesus spoke unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be you, bid me come unto you on the water. 29And he said, Come. And when Peter came down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?
ISAIAH 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.

The Lord began drawing Dana to Him about six months before she was saved. By January of 2015, the urgency to make a decision about God was so strong, that it was all she could think about, but she was clueless how to even get saved. One day in her bedroom, she cried out to God telling him she really wanted to be saved, but she didn’t know how. Then she had the thought, maybe she could Google it. And that’s what she did. She found instructions on the Internet and said the Salvation prayer out loud.
In 2017 the Lord led her 600 miles away from her family, friends and home to a place she had never been and did not want to go – Missouri. Then in April of 2019 the Lord gave her a vision of a woman sitting at a desk, writing on paper. That’s when she knew He wanted her to write, but what on earth could she possibly write about? Then in July of 2020 the Lord gave her a vision of an eyebrow pencil outlining a woman’s eye. She interpreted that to mean “I OUTLINE”. And that is exactly what He did. And that’s how the Lord got her to pick up her pen.
Excellent revelation. Thank you
Yes, this is the key, trust in Him, eyes only on Him.! Thank you for this good word! Blessings,
